SF4 Akuma Combos

Can someone point me in the direction of an updated list of Akuma’s SSFIV combos? I’m especially keen to know what can be FADC’d into.

Awesome list. Should prove to be very useful to both newcomers like myself and more experienced players.

How can I get QCB+LK, c.HK to link?

With proper timing.

I had a quick question about linking more consistantly off of l.HK too. Particularly into Akuma’s Dragon Punch. I used to play SF3 a bit and I’m noticing the timing is either much more strict for it or just plain different now. Should I be executing the DP on the first available frame? Should I be waiting for the opponent to drop a certain distance? Should I be looking for visual cues from Akuma’s recovery? Sometimes I seem to get it 100%, others it’s embarrasingly low and I whiff it repeatedly.

Thanks

cr.LK-cr.LP

Does that mean chained or pressed together? (if it is pressed together what purpose does that serve?)

Edit: Wow I’m stupid. Ignore this post please…

@TreasureDen:

Just practice in training mode lots. Also, two other things: try plinking it (press HK, MK, LK in very rapid succession) as that will give you more frames.

And bear in mind that it doesn’t work on all of the characters: for example, it works on Sagat and Guile, but not on Ryu, unless it’s an air tatsu. Can anyone confirm that this is the case, because I’m not 100% sure?

Also, are there any more experienced Akuma players out there who can tell me anything about FADC’ing? What moves can you FADC into? I know you can FADC into s.HP and s.MP, but can you FADC into s.HK, for example? Also, are there any guidelines out there for FADC’ing? I have SO much trouble FADC’ing in this combo: c.MK, Hado, FADC, s.HP, tatsu, SRK. But if I do that same combo with a s.HK at the beginning I seem to land the FADC much more frequently, like 70% of the time. So, any advice?

I think you mean lk.tatsu and not l.HK, since there’s no l.HK.
Anyway, the timing is the same on all chars for juggling with fierce srk, you have to wait till Akuma lands on the ground and input the srk right there. I look for the small bounce he makes in the land to get it right. Practice it in trainingroom till you get the right timing. Some mash srk to get this to work, I say go practice the correct timing. It will also help when you start practicing resets after a lk.tatsu and make it much easier.

If you mash then you can always get it to come out, but for the sake of skill you should get the timing down. That’s what I’ve been doing, my basic BnB is st. FP > lk Tatsu > HP SRK. I’m not doing anything more flashy until this combo comes out at 100% success.

What flashy stuff are you thinking about?
And I guess the only visual cue for when to do the DP after a lk.tatsu is when Akuma’s feet hit the ground.

Confirmed.

IMO it’s easier to remember who you can’t do it to, since the list is smaller.

Gen, Abel, Rufus, El Fuerte, M. Bison, Ken, Ryu, Blanka, 3s characters, Juri. (Info taken from the Vortex Thread)

I’m hardly experienced, but you can FADC into s.HK but I believe the distance has to be right or else it won’t combo. I’ve simplified it to, "if it looks too close, just st.hp. if it looks far, st.hk. I’m not sure about timing, but I know distance is pretty important.

You can on El Furete

Yeah… I have to start learning to c.HK after BnB. My motor reflex right now is set to HP (or EX) SRK after the lk. Tatsu 100% of the time.

Mainly FADC’ing, doing the DF after a st. FP, and so forth. I’m going to incorporate sweep into my BnB instead of the SRK, as I’m pretty good at landing the vortex Tatsu.

To sweep after tatsu on ElF the spacing has to be right, I couldnt get it after I hit confirmed with cr.LP st.HP but I hit it every time after cr.LP cr.MP,3 jabs, or cr.LK then 2 jabs. You just cant be close when you try the sweep.

Against Fuerte point blank, do cr. lp, cr. lp, cr. mp xx tatsu, sweep.

And I made the Richard Nguyen combo that no one will be allowed to do except me.
Lvl 3 FA (or lvl 2), dash forward, tk’ed lp air fireball, land, hp srk (and can fadc ex tatsu)

that ones all yours rick

Anyone have a link to an Akuma advanced combo vid?

I know all the b&bs, but looking to freshen up my kuma with some more saucy combos.

Fukin hell it took me literally three hours just to do HP© xx LK Tatsu, LP SRK xx FADC, HP Shaku and I only did it one time lol.

So this is something I have been messing around with to see if I can get it to work.

Meaty c.MK > c.LP > further comboing.

Now this would only have practical application in one match up, but theoretically this can work if you nail the last active frame. It would of course be a 1 framer however.
