I used to have a problem where I did the LP DP too early and I would get a negative edge LP DP instead, happening after it was too late to combo. Slowing things down helps a lot. If you find that your LP DP whiffs even though you “could’ve sworn” you pressed it quickly enough and didn’t fudge the inputs, then perhaps it was actually too quick. Once you input the DP just hold MP+MK, double tap and do the HCB motion as fast as you can, and press HP when you finish the half-circle… should come out fine.
The reason HP DP might work for you with the same timing is probably because HP DP hits a lot closer to the ground than LP DP does, giving you more leniency.
I need some help with something, FADC. I can time it easily everywhere but after a shoryuken. The other night I was getting them 4 out of five times, but now I’m struggling to consistently get it out. When am I to time the FADC? Just after the fist connects or before? What frustrates me the most is that I can get the FADC 100% of the time with Cammy. Other then that, I really hate FADC in general lol. Something I definitely need to start implementing into my game.
Mhhh you ideally want to FADC before you leave the ground. Just practice the shoryuken by it self and FADCing it on its own without the whole combo. You’ll find out the time right away that way and then add everything together and BAM! you’re a tourney hype pro LOL jk jk but yea.
I’m trying combos for crouching opponents. What’s the most effective combo?
One for when you have meter and one when you don’t have meter.
I’m trying the FADC one posted on the OP but I don’t understand it, c.mp will not stand the opponent.
The follow ups for crouching opp that I use are EX Tatsu or EX Hado. In the FADC combo if you change cr. MP for far st. HK, it will stand the opponent.
New akuma player. (pardon the avy it may offend) but I always wondered why for some combos you use c.mp instead of c.mk? Does it have something to with linking lk tatsu?
I dont know if this is useful or been mentioned already but i randomly came across something today which i didnt know was possible
Apparently you can combo into shaku from c.hp > shaku, if thats anything useful, i guess you can use it to push your opponent away if they block the c.hp?
Edit: I’m not even entirely sure that this is even possible, i tried it in training mode but never got it off, but in an online match for some reason c.hp > shaku showed up as a 4 hit combo.
ok i’m sorry if this sounds elementary to some of you, but I’m having a difficulty time doing st.hk > c.mk > demon flip grab. Whether the st.hk hits or not, I’m having a hard time getting this out. What’s the best way to execute this?
