I was wondering why most of players dont use jumping HP, instead of HK. According to the frame data, it does the same amount of damage and it requires 1 frame less than jumping HK. Are there differences on the range?
^I use jHP all the time it’s what I use as my safe jump in for the option select, I’ve only gotten it to work sometimes but it’s really cool to see that stuff in action.
In my opinion, the Dive Kick is one of most dangerous skills of Akuma. It can set up the series of combo if it hits.
Is there anything more painful to land off of an EX tatsu other than hp.srk?
EX srk?
Does the same damage as FP.srk if I’m not mistaken.
Only difference between EX and HP is that the EX has better invincibility. In the case of combos it is a huge waste.

i think ex does more dmg
Both do 190.
Both do 190.
Nevermind. It’s in the 1st post.
It doesn’t work on all the characters. If you have Ryu or Ken as your dummy it will fail. Sagat is one of the better ones to practice on.
I was using Abel - no wonder it never worked. Even on Sagat, the timing seems to be very strict. 1 frame or thereabouts?
Also, I can’t ever seem to land the EX srk (or just hp srk) xx FADC -> EX hcb pp (or just hcb hp); I’m always in the wrong place or have it at the wrong time. Any tips there?
Don’t even do it, that’s silly.
There is another difference - ex DP puts the opponent into a juggle state/knockdown on the first hit. Regular DP needs the second hit to do so.
Even though I’ve been able to do the lk. Tatsu -> c. HK probably 4/10 times, I want to know your guy’s input on how you are able to do it. What I mean is do you guys watch for something specific visually or do you just have the innate timing practiced to perfection.
I apologize if this has already been asked.
plink it
Still though in the case of a typical combo it is a waste which was my main point. There may be a few exceptions like the HK straight into a SRK
Wow, I feel like such a dumb ass. I’ve been practicing plinking things but never thought to incorporate it to the lk. tatsu -> sweep…
Tried it and now I’m pulling it off easier than I have before. Thanks for the tip!
