Champion Edition was pretty balanced except for a few guys, I think. It sounds like the Japanese version is more balanced, but the worst problem – Bison’s infinite – is still in. I’ve been leaning toward the idea that Champion Edition with slight tweaks would be the perfect version of Street Fighter II.

Yes, I’m on GGPO, same as my srk username, and no, I don’t see how CE is harder than HF.

I think most people prefer CE because HF toned everyone way too much, some people prefer good broken fun to boring balance.

I <3 HF Blanka though.

Well I agree fun is more important than balance, but CE was a little silly don’t you think? Plus HF brought other characters to the top (blanka, gief for example).

Anyways, I’m not here to bash CE, it’s a fun game, and I don’t mind whoring CE Sagat all day.

I played the shit out of it until HF came out and never really touched it again. There’s no need to slog through WW/CE’s incredibly slow speed when you can play vastly superior HF/ST/AE.
