You wouldn’t get banned for sharing an installed program. Bans are only for:
- warez
- pedo
- repeated warnings about other problems
Ban lifted, but Servbot automatically monitors shares anyways, so if you put up bad stuff, it’ll automatically kick/ban ya again.
preppy, you were right about my .wmv problem, it seems like it’s the version of ATI drivers i’m using.
edit: figured out fix
card: Radeon 9800 Pro 128MB AGP
driver: 5-9_xp-2k_dd_cp_wdm_26409.exe (no catalyst control panel)
display properties > settings > advanced > options > Uncheck WMV Acceleration > restart computer
the problem was that some of my .wmv files came up in bright pink/green colors, half of them weren’t playable at all. good shit ATI for “accelerating” my WMV
No commercial music and roms is pretty much keeping like 80% of SRK off the hub, lol.
Is there anyway I can configure a separate share for different hubs? I’d really rather not have to re-hash like 50 gigs of files everytime I switch hubs.

Yeah- I’m actively involved in ongoing litigation involving the US DOJ and the European Union, so I don’t want to get involved with that shit and you don’t want your involvement with that shit running through my computer. If you’ve got a beef with that, run the hub yourself. It doesn’t require much other than keeping your computer up 24/7. :tup: Otherwise… STFU.
Didn’t say there was beef, it’s your hub and you’re entitled to running it the way you want.
That’s why I asked if there’s any way I can configure my share to be different depending on the hub.
Not that I’m aware of. It’s a limitation of the current clients.

Yeah, Cyke + Sent projectiles > Megaman’s buster. =\ It wasn’t really much of match, frankly, since he just went with the counter-team instead of his real team. He’s solid, but I think the match was his way of saying fuck Megaman, and playing on MAS makes my crappy Cable extra crappy, so… the counter-team held. 
(Basically, most Megaman counter-teams have troubles with Cable, so it normally all evens out so long as each diad (MM/Tron, Cable/Tron) is solid.) I didn’t feel I walked away with much indication of how he actually played. He’s safer than Takayuki and probably more fundamentally solid, but seemingly a little less creative. Takayuki was much more interesting to play against, but 90% of MSPs just die to Megaman/Tron, so I switched up teams. (Plus I’ve played against him a bunch when he came to Seattle.)
I think Mitsu is a pretty great player, but he was probably the person most hampered at Evo by the sticks. That’s never an excuse because you bring your own, but it kind of sucked to have to watch him keep switching between two Green Goblins and be frustrated because the sticks weren’t working. Bringing any electronics that many miles is going to break something - my Fierce(!) was trashed on a well-packaged MAS, so I can’t imagine how his poor Hori fared. I think both he and Takayuki took top 17 or so, which is probably about right. I think Mitsu should have beaten JWong if he could have finished the infinite in their match… and then you realize that normally Mitsu has pretty flawless execution, so you feel sorry for all the console bastards at Evo. shrug

out of the mitsu jwong matches i seen… mitsu isn’t very creative… the best thing i saw was justin slide with magneto under an air hyper vyper… wow… so simple!
So tentatively I’m planning on taking the hub offline in January. At that point, I’d probably redirect people to the SSBM hub, which is pretty active since other admins don’t enforce any content restrictions like I need to. I would probably connect there myself to share out my cache (in Passive Mode), and may turn back on AIM file sharing for the few nuts who get videos that way (read: Sanford ).
If anybody else wants to run it, that’s cool - I can hand off the server name to you. But realistically it’s probably better to fold into the SSBM hub anyways since that’s a more vibrant hub. Damn me and not me letting people share warez.
