im using dc++ ver 0.674 and i turned off my firewall and i am in active mode i keep on getting connection timeout if that helps

:lol: - we’ve reached a new low with 3 people, including myself, on the hub right now. This is down from 15 last night. It’s not really troublesome in that I’m downloading 600MB of new footage anyways, but at the same time if I simply turned the hub off I could have used my VPN to download at OC3-level speeds, as opposed to my home DSL. 
So, yeah, I’ll see where we’re at over the weekend. Positives of running the hub are obvious. Positives of not running the hub are that I can use my VPN and my GF can use my wi-fi. Positives of somebody else running the hub is that you can use whatever rules you want.
Hey preppy I tried uploading the eccx vids today. It was a complete failure. I connected the camera via usb to the computer and then tried to install the cameras software program. I dont think the program installed properly because I get an error message when i try to open the program. It says "DVC Media 5.1 Device is not found. Confirm connection with computer or device mode."
Any help would be appreciated because I’m horrrible with this shit.

Which camera make and model do you have? It is entirely possible that it does not support capturing via USB (mine doesn’t), and only supports firewire (IEEE 1394). Who did you buy the camera from? They may have information about how to pull the files to your computer.
Does anyone you know have firewire? I’d be willing to encode it for you if the tapes are miniDV(?), but you’d have to send 'em this way.

does anyone know who I have to talk to so I can get unbanned from the hub?? I went there with like a adobe in my folder. I didn’t know that you couldn’t have any of that stuff on the hubb, it was first time going there. Then they let me know “after” the fact that you can’t bring that stuff in there. It would have been nice to be warned be4 hand.
The initial log-in screen you got on the hub tells you not to share warez on the hub, and tells you who to contact if you get banned. Since I’m involved in multiple international legal proceedings currently, you will understand that I cannot have people sharing warez on the hub. I may put in a “two minute” warning or something like that in the future, but I can’t dick around here, sorry. You shouldn’t be sharing that kind of stuff in the first place.
well i’ll put just about anything in my folder when a hub says you have to have damn near 30-40 gb to get in! So can i get unbanned or should I just give up?
