Easiest way imo (as everyone’s giving their input it seems =):
:df::lk: wait a split second so they still combo but don’t chain (or srk won’t come out) :lp: then as you input the lp quickly do :d::df::hp: then FADC it :mp:+:mk::r::r: then wait a split second or ultra won’t work :d::db::qcb::3p:
Do it with that timing and it should be 100% consistent.
When I had trouble with that trial, I split it up. Firstly I made sure I had the lk lp H.Srk down. Then worked on Srk Fadc > U2. Once I had them down combining the two was easy
The main problem with srk > fadc > ultra is sometimes Seth will cross under the opponent so you gotta do the ultra motion the other way. But like its been said, do it fast enough and it won’t matter, will work everytime.
add another c.lp to the combo. This gives you more time to execute the buffer. I tried it the games way maybe 5 tries, then added an extra c.lp and instantly got it.
Press focus attack after the sonic boom input and release(+ dash forward) when seth’s body flashes white, it should crumple. Tight timing but its not bad if you practice it a couple times.
This isn’t true, it’s character and spacing dependant, but also you don’t get full damage if you do it as soon as possible (as well as many characters falling out after the first hit if done too soon up close). No matter what the range if you wait until the last possible moment then U2 it will work on everyone and do max damage except against; Makoto, Dan, Sakura, Cammy, Guy and Rose, who at the last available moment up close you should double qcf+ppp when you hp.srk fadc them up close, and double qcb+ppp when you hp.srk fadc them from a distance.
Question: Are you rushing through the execution? I admit I used to smash through the trials and then have an error here and there on FADC, it wouldn’t just cost me the trial attempt, but rounds/matches come tournament time.
I highly recommend if you don’t already, break the trial down into 2-3 parts (basically anywhere you’re having difficulty with execution). Then after you’ve done that, you can attempt it again to see if you’ve broken it down well enough to perform the trial. The follow-up I recommend also would be to perform the entire trial at half-speed without attempting (You might have heard the term “Shadow Boxing” or “Shadow Wrestling”). It allows your brain to analyze what the root of the issue is, but also gives you a stronger base to work off of.
Just keep in mind, the FADC in:
S.HP xx Sonic Boom -> FADC -> continue trial/combo here
Does not need to be lightning fast, you have a small margin of time, but performing the trial at the slowest speed required will help your game sense in matching the pace Seth can set in matches.
Np. Just glad to help, I remember when I first started using Seth that we had a very tightknit community here at the S.I.N.dustry. Hope to see people keeping true to the Boss of bosses.
the cancel window is right as the boom hits the opponent, which means it’s sooner than you think, because when you get to the hitstop of the boom, you’re too late. Try mashing FA to see where the cancel window is.
