While you can do the c.lk > c.lp faster, you can also do all 3 at the same speed, experiment a bit with that then it becomes easy.
Alright, thanks for the tips.
EDIT: I know it was stated that walking forward would make the c.lk xx c.lp cancel more consistent, but I didn’t really understand how to do it :lol:
I thought it was by holding down then pressing forward after the c.lp came out, but I would always get a sonic boom. Now I just did the c.lk xx c.lp >>s.hp link by holding down-forward for c.lk xx c.lp then i hit forward for the s.hp.
It came out 4 out of 5 times for me.
Now to work on the rest of the combo
oh…i spent some time on it today and got very consistent. i average about 10 reps of c.lk c.lp st.hp xx sb xx fa crumple (ad nauseum). GO, DIGITAL-! GET DAT ICON! :rock:
I don’t roll the stick around when going from down to up, I just release it to neutral. Prevents random srks from coming out.
Yea I realized this aswell, but when I was trying it before I was using an LS-32 stick which was fucking me up bad.
I can do the combo all the way until the focus crumble now on my JLF stick now. I nearly killed myself about 5 mins ago when I got the focus crumble but did an EX SRK at the end instead of the ultra. I WILL GET THIS SHIT TONIGHT :lol:
I was screaming loud as hell after I fucked up like that :lol:
Really? I love the ls-32 and ls-40’s, what I input is what I get! Now that I’m back on a jlf I keep missing inputs :/. Each to their own I guess.
You are right about “what I input is what I get” when using the LS-32 and that was my problem. I had to be extra careful and very strict with my inputs when using the LS-32. With the JLF I find that I can slack a bit with the inputs and still get what I want, instead of being overly cautious and worrying about moves coming out that shouldn’t be.
I did love the LS-32 when my game was “on point”, everything came out perfect. But on an off-day my shit would be terrible :lol: I hated the microswitches on the LS-32 but I loved the fact that you didn’t feel/ride the gate the way you normally do on a JLF.
On-Topic, I finally got my 4th trial done after working on it for 1hr+ today. After trying for an hr straight I just zoned out and it came out effortlessly after then 1,000th try
I’m so mindfucked atm from that trial that I’m gonna give trial 5 a break until later on tonight.
Hah, nice one. Trial 5 should be easy for you after trial 4, only ‘hard’ thing is if you can’t lv2 focus consistently, but I guess after spending an hour in trial 4 that should be no problem =).
W0000t
just got trial 5 after about 3 hours of learning from my mistakes slowly.
few tips for the level 5 trial:
Instead of hitting HP then using another button to cancel into a boom, hold DOWN HP then release when you have done the sonic boom motion. will perform a 2 in 1 cancel (negative edge)
press focus as soon as you see the flash of the sonic boom, its quick. if focus doesn’t come out then its too late on the focus.
then the rest is just practice doing the level 2 FA hit dash.
I cheated though, I mapped my LP button for 3 PPP, my MP button for Focus Attack and HP was HP, the other 3 kick buttons were disabled.
I’m having a hard time with level 18. Can anyone give me tips?
Head-stomp > j.MP > Head-stomp x2 > Dive kick
Which link in particular do you have trouble with? After the first headstomp hold down mk so you don’t negative edge a second stomp by accident, then hit j.mp late, near the ground for it to hit… then hold up and towards your opponent so you jump the second you land, and the second you take off from the ground hit down and mk twice fast, then hk. It’s a completely useless trial.
I can do Head-stomp > j.MP no problem, its the second half of the combo that gives me trouble. Is this another one of those ‘corner only’ combos?
Nope. Maybe it’s easier for you in the corner though, I don’t know. See if you can do :qcb::k: > stomps in the corner though, if you can timing is the same as that.
Finally completed 18, thanks!
Woo. I just finished all of his trials. I think my joystick’s lifespan has been cut in half. Although hard, I found his trials to be mostly fun.
The only trial I hated was 15. That [c.lk > c.lp xx h.srk ex cancel] is just so difficult to do. I kept doing his super by accident.
Need some serious help on Seth Trial 15, otherwise I fear I may have to throw this game in the oven for dinner.
cr.lk > cr.lp > h.shoryuken > EX cancel > Tanden Tyhpoon…
cr.lk > cr.lp > h.shoryuken > EX cancel > Tanden Tyhpoon…
cr.lk > cr.lp > h.shoryuken > EX cancel > Tanden Tyhpoon…
No matter how many times I do this, it’s never the same and always ends up in complete failure.
Talking the ssf4 gods right now, please shine some light on me. What am I doing wrong here?
=\
What part are you having trouble with?
I had some trouble with the c.lp > hp shoryuken part but after I practised the timing on that it was clear sailing.
I’m assuming the part you’re “failing” at is the FADC -> Typhoon? The trick is execute the Typhoon slow after the FADC, that way you don’t get the wonky inputs.
If it’s the cr.LP -> HP Shoryuken, then I’d say practice the buffer pattern slowly during the cr.LP, so you have a chance to get your muscle memory down.
I personally started playing Sagat last week and couldn’t get the timing right on his HP Shoryuken -> FADC -> F+HK -> Ultra. Then when I gave it a day, I hit it 60% of the time, every time.
if you’re using stick - Tap Down and C.lk then do the c.lp - SRK as you would if you’re doing it by it self.
:d:+:lk:… :f::d:+:lp::df:+:hp:
or
:d:+:lk:… :f::df:+:lp::d::df:+:hp:
/edit here’s how I would shortcut the whole thing
:d:+:lk:… :f::df::d:+:lp::df::f:+:hp:…:mp:+:mk: :f: :qcb::qcb:+:3p:
the Last part of the SRK I added :r: with the punch is because that forward is the first part of doing a dash.
and as soon as you hit the :hp: for the SRK go right into Focus Attack and tap forward again - it’s an instant FADC. You do it this way you don’t have to perform the Ultra slowly.
Bet JalapNo will go on training and test this SPEED!!!
Check my title dawg! I don’t practice, I just play.
Honestly, I spend about 5 minutes every 3 weeks in Training mode, and that’s only if I get crazy ideas like “I wonder if I can do cr.LK -> cr.LP -> s.HP xx HP Shoryuken -> FADC -> 1x Headstomp -> falling.MP -> 3x Headstomp -> Whiff DK -> Ultra 2”.
Shit looks fucking tight, but you run out of juggle points so the Ultra hit’s 3 times, then they get the free punish… Yeah, it was tight looking though.
