That divekick is so important to Seth, though. Execution is HUGE for Seth. IF you miss one BnB cr.lp -> cr.mp xx mk Hyakuretsu, you die to shoryu FADC ultra. If you don’t get your divekicks, your offense gets much worse. Improving your execution with Seth is the single easiest way to get better.
The reason I did the second-by-second review is that it 1)tells the player I actually watched what they did instead of just saying “lol j.fp” and 2) emphasizes when they make the same mistake multiple times. He isn’t hitting the dive kicks consistently, which is a problem that needs to be addressed immediately. I used to have this problem, and I lost many games because of it. Otherwise you don’t get Seth’s meaty reset game, which is probably the strongest and most fun part of playing Seth.
Versus Dictator, yeah he can usually reversal ultra or EX Scissors in between cr.mk and Sonic Boom, but he can’t block and then do it. And if you don’t do a Sonic Boom, cr.mk is -4 on block. That means you might eat a cr.mk xx scissors punish. If they catch you on it, you’re fucked, but that requires a lot of foresight on Dictator’s part and you can bait it with sonic boom FADC.
^ Play by play might seem a little negative but it give the player a good idea what to work on.
Dive kick is huge to Seths game once I started constantly getting it my game got a ton better.
A good Dictator is still a hard match for me I picked up some pointers thanks kikuichimonji.

I have a question about Seth’s shory FADC to N stomps. What advantage does this actually bring to Seth? I mean it uses an EX stock just to do something eh can follow up anyways without EX. Just wondering.
i loled too. sabin is such a good example to learn from.hes the ONLY legit seth player(that i KNOW of) that i can go to for consistent information/confirmation.
i used that little bit where he FC’ed all the tigers to get ultra JUST last night,and produced the same results against a proficient G2 sagat to win my first G2 championship,lol.
Well I’m a Zangief player. Im sure you guys are interested to see the match video of me playing against Josh Ballard aka JoshDaFunkDoc’s Seth at the tourney. It was held at Arcade Legends in Cincinatti. Check it. I was able to take a round off hiim in the Winners Final, but the rest is rape. In Grand Finals, i was able to take a match, which is not an easy feat lol. I was at least able to make it close. lol.
I don’t have the adequate equipment to record matches from my TV or else I would have posted tons of casual matches online. I think my next pay check I’m going to get a camcorder or something.
Thats one where i happen to win, there’s others there that i lost, and more to be uploaded soon of me winning again…made it as 2nd of the pool and ended up being in the top 16 of that tourney (if i read the bracket thingie right =P )
