seth’s ultra 2 is easily one of the best in the game. don’t understand the hate it gets. if it did a little more damage i’d say it is the best ultra in the game.

They wont fix his glitches, that’s for sure… he also doesn’t need to walk faster, it seriously never bothered me how slow he walks and it’d be awkward having him walk faster.

walk speed definitely isn’t an issue for me either.

what kingseth said, he didnt need to walk faster becuse of j.hp, now that its gone, he needs to walk faster ! How is he suppose to have any footsies if he is still walking slow?

Not like I’d just throw it out like that, but if you fail to chip-kill a Denjin Gouken with it, you WILL die.

well if you do most ultras from half screens distance like that against any good character you’re going to get punished hard.

If a Denjin Gouken EVER blocks your ultra, or dodges it, you die. Maybe you failed to use it as an anti air for example. The fact that it’s barely safe even if it hits correctly is also a pain in the ass.

If you find an ultra that may or may not hit certain characters for full damage, has to be input weird from close SRK FADC, has relatively low range, and gives almost no frame advantage ON HIT a good ultra that’s cool. I only use it for chip kills, KO in the corner or KOs after ex dp. It’s not worth giving up the mixup. The only thing you can follow it up with is an SRK FADC or SPD in the corner.

Thanks I got the idea from yours. I was going to use that silver surfer game image like you did, but I decided to recolor Negative Man from Mother 3 instead. I didn’t want it to be too similar.

If the character can’t get out of the chip damage, I’m using ultra 2. Poongko used u2 against mago’s Sagat and that’s a match up you’d expect to see u1

Well yeah, it is great fun to do a reset in the corner, then Ultra before they even land knowing that you’ll win XD Beware that Gief can escape it with U2 though (Well, not if you do it from a reset like I said, but if you simply have him in the corner and activate U2, he can dodge it).

Gen can escape u2 chip damage with super. At least a Gen did it to me online recently, I’m not sure if it’s spacing/timing specific, but the super shot Gen right through me to the other side and didn’t damage him. However I’d still probably use u2 in this match up because what are the odds Gen is going to have super when you go for the chip kill? Unless his ultra can get through it too, I’m not sure, have almost no experience vs gen players in SSF4.

I usually decide like that unless they have a fireball or are Bison, Blanka, or Vega.

Lol at that video Kanta. That happens all to often. I usually do a light SRK when I want to do an anti-air ultra now. The startup and hitbox(es) on that ultra are bull.

I agree, definitely ultra 1 vs bison blanka and vega. Against fireball characters though I think u2 is probably the way to go. I’m not too worried about a ryu or sagat player who is fireball happy. It’s too easy for Seth to get in/wall jump over them for it to be a real issue.

problem is to lp.SRK Gen, you have to do it as soon as he jumps, otherwise his gdlk air normals will beat it clean.

We know what he’s lost so far. As non-permanent as it may be.

Everyone chill out, >.> nothing has been set in stone, they are only getting feedback and things can change for the good still for all of us. (Not just us Seth players, but the other characters too, for one i play with T Hawk as my other main, so ill be happy with anything they do to him)

So for now, yes those are the things they have done with Seth, but they aparently boosted his health and made his dive kick faster right now.

The Ryu and Sagat players you play (90% of online) aren’t very good/have slow reactions/don’t know the matchup. I’ve NEVER done or seen a walljump against a competent Ryu or Sagat. There fireballs recover too fast. They’d have to throw the fireball while Seth jumps back. Even on the off chance that you manage to hit them (full-screen crossups are GDLK this is why I want less knockback and more down time Kanta) Seth is usually out of range to confirm an uppercut without meter and your Haykuretsu puts them fullscreen to fireball you again.
