No, active frames are only the hitbox. The hittable box doesn’t change no matter what the active frames are. And of course you can be hit while your move is active, because you still have a hittable box even with a hitbox active.

Also, do you know how dumb that post seems? “Yeah, we get more active frames, that doesn’t mean they have more or a chance to hit me!” Active frame increase = more time to get hit.
the span of time in which you can get counter poked is no different unless they actually made the move animation longer

Like I said, unless the made start-up and/or recovery frames become active frames, with an active hitbox, the move duration will be longer and thus YungHove is correct.

On another note, what do you guys think of cr.mk fireball FADC c.hp xx EX Tanden Engine, cr.hp xx shoryu xx riverdance.
Do you guys think this combo will be doable now with faster startup on cr.hp. We might have a few instant dizzy combos if you go with j.HK, cs.HP, fireball FADC (you know the rest) possibly. What do you guys think? Yunghove? Kanta?
Wrong. Let’s take Chun-Li’s standing hard kick as an example. Between vanilla and super the start of the active frames was pushed to later in the move and lost an active frame. However, neither the attack animation nor the move duration changed between the two games. It’s the same move, just the hitbox becomes active at a different time.
The same thing goes for Seth’s j.HP and c.MK. The moves will be the exact same, except now you may catch Ryu’s sweep and hit him instead of him getting a free knockdown. Guaranteed this is what they did. They’re not going to change animations, it requires too much work.
And who cares about jumping move duration. You always recover in 4 frames of landing no matter what.

I have been using seth since vanilla and he has just been shitted on every expansion. WHY? why the fuck is seth getting a nerf bat shoved so far up his ass? Maybe its all the constant tournament wins with seth…

Hey I dunno personally I think Seth is going to be a lot better now. So he lost his arms but gained the ability to not die instantly. A lot of his matchups don’t even need the arms.
That Zangief matchup though. Yeah, that’s not 7-3 anymore.
50 HP is laughable…so he can take an extra MP…so when that one mistake happens now we wont die DURING the punish…they can actually finish the combo…then we’ll die…YAY…

It’s actually slightly better than that if you consider that Seth is a comeback character, situations where we would have previously been chipped out we will not, giving us an extra chance to pull through.
With scaling it won’t amount to much more stun or dmg . Your better off cr.mk fireball FADC r.hp xx shoryu xx riverdance and using the two remaining stock accordingly after the the reset.
Actually, combo’ing into his c.hp from boom fadc leads to better stun and damage.
