They nerfed its invincibility, from 88 frames to 12. yeah they nerfed it that mutch.

Unfortunately that’s probably true, I’m guessing the advantage will be reduced to be similar to Rufus’s divekick. Both of them have 4-frame lights, and Rufus can’t combo a jab after a divekick that hits the very top of standing Ryu’s head, while Seth currently barely can if his divekick lands there. Ryu can also punish Rufus on block with SRK only if the divekick lands that high, so it probably won’t be a huge deal, although Rufus obviously has more freedom aiming his divekick.

The sped-up s.MP might be possible to connect off a properly aimed divekick though.

I really want to hear what Tony thinks about Seth in AE

At least we’ll still have the dive kick speed for AE meaning Triangle jumps over fireballs are good for spacing.

Hell, maybe with more active frames on c.mk we can use it more in footsies and if they jump Srk. At least we kept some of his moveset intact.

j.hp and c.mk are nerfs in disguises, more active frames means more time for Ryu to sweep, c.mk xx ex fireball, shoryu fadc ultra :frowning: etc

I definitely see the doubling of active frames on j.HP to be a nerf. I wiff that all the time on jump in, then SPD on landing. So much better than empty jump as it puts them into a blocking state so they cant move and reduces the chance of wiffing the SPD.

No. More active frames means that the move will have more frames overall. Which means more time to get counterpoked.

UNLESS, they switch some of the start-up frames to become actives. Or the recovery frames to become actives. Otherwise, Yunghove is right.

I’m sorry, but what are you talking about? Active frames have absolutely everything to do with getting hit by another move. More active frames means more time to get hit. If you haven’t noticed, you can get hit even when your move is still active.
