Oh I think U1 means more recovery on hit so you can’t do the SB crossup trap for no meter. That sucks. Oh well, you could reversal ultra it in Super pretty easily anyway.

If divekick is still even-ish on block (-1 is fine) and can combo on crouching characters I’m perfectly fine with that nerf.
Invincibility on super means all those times I do wakeup super accidentally instead of wakeup DP at least my super won’t get stuffed >>

This is actually a big buff because this means his cr.mk xx SB hit-confirm FADC is now extremely threatening. I would go as far to say that Seth now has the best fireball FADC combo without an ultra.
Oh yeah and since s.mp startup is buffed - cr.lp -> s.mp -> cr.mp as new hit-confirm? YES PLZ. s.mp link DP combos? FUCK YEAH.
I’m fine with this as well, so long as the head stomp HITBOX is the same. I don’t care about active frames… Dive kick nerf seems unwarranted. How bad do they want the dive kick to be? Why no just delete it? Its approaching Akuma divekick useless… shrugs They did attempt to give us footsies so I’m ok with it. I wonder what the stun will be for LEGS. Also Cr. HP faster startup means FADC C.HP ultra becomes easier. Also leads to some nasty mixups

Akuma divekick is extremely useful, Tokido uses it as the reverse of a crossup tatsu.

It doesn’t whiff on crouching characters by itself or off a j.hk I believe. But yeah Blanka’s hitbox is dumb. Vega is another common offender.
Close st.mp and far st.mk completely whiff crouching blankas holding down back. His hitbox is retarded. I love when my normals sometimes pass through Sakura, Vega, and Rose crouching hitbox when I LAND a jump-in. Bloody random sometimes.
I conceded that Blanka’s hitbox is dumb.
Far standing forward being a better poke. It’s still not very good; the damage is low, it’s not special cancellable, it’s only one hit, startup is relatively slow for a would be poke.
Close standing strong improvement. Unless they make this his far standing strong and/or able to 2-frame link into crouching strong, this isn’t worth much IMO. This move can only be used from near point-blank, so It’ll probably be used after jump-ins or Tandens; which are frame-traps themselves. It’d be more useful as a command normal that moves him forward.
I expected the other buffs, which is why I didn’t consider them noteworthy.
It was already good. I go toe to toe with Ryu cr.mk with Seth’s s.mk. Active frames are huge in terms of goodness of pokes.
After blocked tanden/FA2: cr.lk xx cr.lp -> s.mp (hit-confirm) -> cr.mp xx legs. Close moves have decent range. Unlike Seth’s s.hp, getting far s.mp is not OH SHIT YOU GET RAPED NOW.
Currently Seth’s only legitimate frame trap is cr.lp -> cr.mk and that can be jumped out of if you time it a frame late. Or DP FADC but if they backdashed you die.
I wouldn’t call it EXTREMELY useful, Tokido does use it from time to time. He may use it every once in a while as an alternative to his demon flip options, and regular jumpin/tatsu option. In itself its useless. Combined with Tokidos vortex is a piece of the puzzle, not really EXTREMELY useful by any stretch of the imagination
they would have to increase st.mp frame adv on hit from +3 to +6, the startup is 7f right now so i predict that going down to like 4-5. Think about it, cl.fierce has a 4f startup, why not let cl.strong lol. And since cl.fierce whiffs on far opponents i think cl.strong might be okay…
the divekick recovery thing might make it easier to spd after diving. or make it easier to buffer srk on landing. i dont think ill complain until i literally sit down and feel the difference.
it seems like itll also be easier to combo some hits into c.mk into boom etc from added frames cuz that comes harder for me.
