That game is ass on XBL. I can play ppl in Brazil on GGPO just fine. Fucking Brazil & I’m in NJ, but there’s game breaking lag between me & someone from NY on XBL. This isn’t an exaggeration either.
SNK has some amazing gems in their roster. They could really do a lot better in the U.S. if they stopped having chimps make their netcodes.

People who have no idea of how much Seth being at Capcom helped should just get out of this thread. Seth opened lines of communication to the core community that weren’t really there before. I mean, how many times do you see a long forum post make it all the way to Japan (Fanatiq’s long article which made it all the way to the dev team at Capcom/Eighting). Also, having him on board is likely one of the reasons Capcom Japan is more receptive to rollback netcode (one of the few things SFxTekken got right).

I’m late to the derail here, but one of the things I love about KOF’s character design is that it has characters like Vanessa, Kasumi, and the secretaries (pre-KOF13) that were stylishly or modestly or practically dressed. In contrast, SF4 copied Vanessa’s design and gave her stupid hair and cleavage.
Similarly, I love that KOF has characters like Saisyu Kusanagi, Takuma, Heidern - middle aged men in a genre where most male characters are either <30 or grandpas. Or bizarre overmuscled villains like Bison/Sagat.
Sure, KOF has its share of politcally incorrect characters too, like Mai or Bao/Momoko, and highschoolers are overrepresented in the cast, but having the above (which few other FGs can claim) makes up for all of that, for me.
Basically.
I want Heidern and Shion for DLC characters so bad.

sammy and later sega were publishers for the gg games, not the owners, there was a legal turmoil for a while regarding the guilty gear franchise, but now its clear, so arcsys its free to continue making guilty gear again without any kind trouble
