something just happened…dhalsim used super on wakeup but seth ex spd dhalsim out of super…is it possible against his ultra too?..also i figured out tht seth’s dive kick can beat dhalsim awesome back+rh…??i have done tht both ways by normal jump as well wall jump…u cant combo though…but…u get close easily…can any confirm this that dhalsim’s back+RH can be countered by seth’s flip kick…?and if thats the case i thing u can shutdown dhalsim very easily with ur ultra1 and with super too…super works on whiffed grounded limbs too…
You can EX SPD (normal SPD too i think) Sim out of his U1 yes, divekick defeating his back+HK depends on timing…at best you win at worst you trade i believe

Dhalsim can time his b.hk to beat divekick every time, it just makes the timing more strict. And no, you can’t use j.hk to mess him up instead, at least in my experience.
Doesn’t seem that way to me and I have fought Juicebox, Rico Suave, and Ryder’s Abel quite a few times… 5-5 is full of fallacy.

No I am not, but even against a similar skill level player it is not one knock down and you win. That line of thought is ridiculous as there is always a chance the Abel will guess right and then you eat huge damage and might even lose because of it.

i beat a good abel one time by doing this:
spd. and then jump in with like 4 different spd varieties until i got a dizzy in him= cross up hk into spd. cross up lk into spd. then i knew hed try to roll by this time so i empty spd. and then i knew hed jump away so i jumped in stomped and boom he saw stars.
i think i dizzied Juice the one time i played him too but then i got hyped/nervous and died lol.
also yes juicebox is good but i dont get why people get owned with easy things he does. i guess they get nervous cuz i was too. but for non seth players he just dashes in and command grabs on thier wake ups like crazy. people need to learn to backdash or anti air or jump to keep him from doing it and mixing it up to keep him guessing.
with seth abels anti air hp (double punch thing) is beatable too u can toss a boom cancel and then jump in empty spd. or jump in and attack while hes in block stun. or if he rolls just spd him.
against abel i focus on spd ALOT if u cant tell. once i get in tho i link. and also while hes dizzy. just keep changing ur game and pressure when you are in.

Needs moar SPD empty jump. its pretty safe in the beginning while adapting your abel apponent to certain situations… then you can charge in and rape when he stops rolling due to fearing your spd.

I don’t empty jump spd a whole lot against abel because of the one I play against. He plays me a lot so sometimes he will catch my empty jump spd with a TT the second I land to beat my option select spd / empty jump spd and I would cdounter later with srks… but it makes me wary to use it against other Abel because of it.

I made a post about this too, not sure if it was in this thread or not though. IMO abel-seth is 6-4 and one of Seth’s worst match ups. Seth struggles with momentum based characters (abel, ibuki for example) because they deal large amounts of damage at once and Seth is too easily stunned. I asked art on the last guard crush stream his opinion on seth-abel and he agreed it’s 6-4 abel.
which ultra do you use in that match? one of the tougher matches to choose an ultra for me. Gen can super his way out of Seth’s u2 chip damage ( maybe other ways too besides super? not sure) but it can be hard to find a good spot to use u1 in that match as well.
