The SRK was the first OP I made, so I forgot to change it here. 3/5 and 3/5 is correct – we changed because it seems that’s what the community prefers, and we shouldn’t have any problem time-wise providing the expanded format.
Okay, so 3/5 all the way then. Thanks for clearing that up.
There’s also a debate about whether to ban Solo mode in TTT2 – if anyone has thoughts please let us know. We’re gonna talk with Tekken players and make a decision
Yeah the van ride was crazy.
Any you folks familiar with Ridge Road? If not, let me give the gist of it to you: avoid it if you can.
Gang Violence, police presence?
Oh, no no, I’m sorry. Nothing like that. Just generally terrible traffic congestion, stupid drivers, and I think they’re doing work on one of the ramps on I-480.
Interesting. Any chance it’s KuSORU? If it’s one of the FRB guys that went to FGTV/EVO it would be a hard sell to see them as a potential threat as they did so poorly against the FGTV crew overall. If it isn’t KuSORU (though I heard before EVO Frieda wants to come to NA tournaments to make up for not being able to go to EVO) maybe it would be better to bring Tokido? Tokido is as good or better than all of the FRB crew san Chou and he would also be a name for AE and other games too.
So far as I write this post, Revelation has been a disappointment when it comes to international talent. Season’s Beatings and CC2012 seem to be the two biggest tournaments left for the year! And both have the potential to be the best tournament after EVO!
I know you guys are still ironing out the schedule, but generally what time frame will Marvel be on Friday? Ideally I’d like to work and then show around 4pm. If that’s not gonna cut it I’ll just take Friday off, thanks!
Actually the schedule is basically done – pools will begin for Friday games at 6 pm, second wave will begin at 9 pm. We’re debating a few last minute changes, but scheduling is one of the first things we did. Will post the full schedule in a day or two.
For instance, one of the reasons we could add DOA was that it can run concurrent with KOF w/o much player crossover, and half our 360s will be free (since only SF4/MVC3 will take ALL our 360s).
Planning this stuff helps
I’m looking for a room for anyone that needs a roommate.
Any updates on Skullgirls getting official status? I see SpaceOutNightmare’s post above, but he’s likely responding to my post, which was a troll post.
MvC2 as a side tourney is interesting i suppose, but after no one wanted to play the high roller tourney last year Im not holding my breath
Ghaleon said so…Click my signature.
Is there any kind of official policy on withdrawing from a game and getting a refund (or partial refund, even)? I signed up for Tekken but now I’m thinking I’d rather just pour all my effort into KoF…and use the Tekken entry fee to eat.
Hmmmm… interesting. If nothing else, I at least know Mr Hata(tatatatata)la is still working on it.
That’s why we aren’t doing any event for it, just a side tournament open to everyone. lol me and at least 4 other people are playing, that’s all I know, but yeah we’re gonna see who can come out from NY.
You can link me if I’m wrong but I’m pretty sure I never stated that SG was official; I did say I’m trying to talk to Autumn Games about repping, and that SG will be absolutely at SB in some capacity, meaning as a side or official. All “official” means is are we taking money for it or not, really. I will make sure SG will be recorded for you guys if it stays side. Trust me that we take support of EVERY community very seriously!! And we really appreciate everyone traveling for the hype.
Plus if that’s all you’re at SB to play you can just pay the spectator rate too
Autumn got back to me this week, still hoping to get some cool news for them. So no matter what we’ll take care of you guys, side or not. And either way I’ll work with you guys to schedule and promote it.
Then you need to click my link and have a talk with Deviljin01.
