I’d like to go but 3 days, $30 venue fee, and having a bunch of kiddies and teenagers with their parents playing their call of duties is making me not so excited.
I’ll see if some of milwaukee wants to go, but i dunno. I hate having those fucking shooter kids around. It was annoying at focus fire too. If there’s anything that can make me ashamed of being at an event, it’s a bunch of 13 year olds with their bored looking parents being at the venue.
The fighters and shooters are on totally separate floors of the hotel, in totally separate rooms. Also, Friday is a special event day, so if you are only interested in the tournaments, Sat/Sun is totally fine. Hope that helps with your decision making.
Also, every person who pays the venue fee is automatically entered into a raffle full of ridiculous prizes. You may end up walking out with a 150$ arcade stick or headset just for showing up.

Thats unrealiable for a large tournament though.
You can not get accurate numbers of setups required and for something of this magnitude he has to know exactly how many setups hes getting.
I know what you mean though thats what we did at Chicago Heart 3 but I was stressed waiting for people to show up with setups and got semi lucky.

Ramsey, I patiently await your post in the Seasons Beatings thread denouncing all PS3 tournaments. And for the last time, I totally agree with you (that the 360 version is better). When it is possible for me to make a switch, I will definitely do it. Now is not that time.
Q: About what time are the free to play stations going to close Friday/Saturday night? I got a handful of my friends to agree to come along, but they’re not as interested in throwing away 50 dollars to go 0-2 in a tournament, but are interested in playing/observing/spending the day light hours in Oakbrook and then coming back and getting smashed and playing in the evening
Free Play will close Friday and Saturday night around 1-2AM, depending on when the special team war events are finishing up. There will also be free play time between pools if they finish early (which they generally do). On top of that, most of Sunday is open for free play as well.

back in the day 3s would have never been on dreamcast just because “thats what we got” or “we are supplied with these as part of the deal”. because thats what is happening here. people would show up with ps2’s, money off entree or not
there should at least be the option of playing on the xbox if both agree for people who actually are good at the game and dont want additional obstacles caused by the console(frame drops like crazy/additional input delay/dropping inputs when more stuff on screen/controllers pausing match) and then the scrubs/sf4 players would just go play each other on ps3 who cares. everybody happy
just seems like keits just doesnt even have the capacity to get it skill wise, ive played you in marvel before and your not very good but thats ok, but you need to take the good players word for it that are winning stuff and playing at the top current level by putting it on xbox. go ask them.
