nah man, i tested it on a recording of dee jay doing c.lk, c.lp, c.mp xx l.dread kicks. but i block the rolling sobat standing to reduce the pushback. even if they space it it’s still at least -4. crouch blocking makes it harder so you’d have to do a frame perfect c.lp.
edit, tested it again vs dee jay doing c.lk, c.lk, c.lp, c.mp xx l.dread kicks. again i block the dread kick standing. i was able to punish with s.mp but couldn’t link into anything else so had to cancel directly.
no self repecting Deejay would drop a LK Dread kick vs a Dudley.
Deejays instead use c.LP c.LP (3rd c.LP sometimes), crouch or stand LK xx LK Dread.
Deejay can use LK dread as a mid range poke just like Dudley can use straight.
I believe at max range it’s unpunishable.

point blank to medium ranged attacks blocked. this isn’t finished, i’ve been lazy but waiting for finals to finish. Whiff is a whole different thing. If you want me to work on that let me know but it’s pretty much have to be a visual.

EX SSB in the corner to lp. jet upper works on gouken, seth, balrog, cammy, sim, deejay, rose, into ultra 2. Lemme know if anyone finds more on this.
Fun Fact: EX SSB on any of the above,lp jet upper, into 3 duck straights ultra 2 does 630

Have you tired Chun, Hawk, or Viper for EX SSB > Jab Jet Uppercut? They have pretty fat/floaty hurtboxes when they are in juggle state.
I just did a re check, since I was sleepy when I did the first list and my execution may have been off, those three I couldn’t get it to work with…man I wish we had more stuff that just works! It really is ridiculous how many things we don’t get for free compared to the rest of the cast…this would have been a welcome buff for the whole cast indeed…but I guess the damage output followup is ridiculously high…so for those characters, watch out in the corner when Duds got meter
Gens crane s. MP can now be punished by HP JU on block. It will however not work at long ranges even when I do HP JU with reversal timing so he can choose to make it safe.
It’s still worth mentioning though since doing a HP JU is much easier than a 1-frame jab punish.

I think I created a very specific option select and I’m not sure of it’s usefulness cause I haven’t tried it yet in real matches, pretty busy these days, but maybe you guys can help me up testing it. I say specific cuz it’s basically to use against Adon’s Jaguar Tooth, maybe someone has been using that already but I don’t know so here it goes. The idea is this when Dudley stands at about 1/4 to 3/4 screen of Adon, if Adon whiffs a Jaguar tooth, U1 can punish that but the thing is if he doesn’t whiff we eat a JT. So when you see him go to the wall, prepare the timing for:
OS: s.mk ~ U1
If timed right:
- s.mk stuffs any JT and second hits of target combo 7 comes out
- s.mk whiffs, U1 go catching Adon before he recovers
Good Adons won’t probably do that for no reason but I think it can be useful. If the timing’s not too bad, the worst it can happen is a trade with the JT. Don’t hit s.mk too soon though or you’ll eat the JT and juggle. What do you guys think?
Well, it’s interesthing, I might give it a try, I always gone for reaction ultra 2 to those jaguar tooths, pre buffing that qcfx2 motion get me ultras from like a dash away, even catching the ex sometimes, the thing is that you must do close, or it won’t catch the short ones, that where your idea comes in.
The main problem I’ve been facing is the reaction time after guessing the distance of the JT. Buffering an ultra often gets me kicked in the nuts if the JT is aim towards me.
i found a perfect counter to gouken’s counter
meaty special cancellable normal on his wake up or just confirm that you’ve been countered by his counter then immediately cancel your whatever normal into cross counter and counter his kongo. this can be done on reaction, by buffering or as an option select.
also works with whatever normal cancel into short swing blow for more damage
