Yeah, wow, advice from this thread is fuckin great. I am a super-new C. Viper player, and was able to pull off the 6x seismo with some degree of consistency after about 20 min in training.
w/ square gate, I find
seismo XX NEUTRAL :df::qcb::ub::u::uf::mp:
The neutral is an important part that took me a while to realize
something weird… I can’t do this move for crap. I even tried to just straight up SJC after a fierce seismo, couldn’t do it!! I can SJC burning kick an ex seismo just fine but not the regular one lol.
so then I started to try the fierce punch, fierce feint, cr. fierce punch combo. In 10 minutes I was regularly doing a double fierce to mp thunder knuckle. I read somewhere on this forum that the motion is fp, qcb+fp, ->>(pause for a slight second)<<-, pp, down+fp. that shit is sweet, thanks to whoever that was that stated that.
anyway, I tried executing the second seismo (dp, uf+p) , as well as just SJ cancelling, at a few different places (before it hits, RIGHT before it hits, as it hits, after it hits) and geeze nothing. I just need to go at it some more I’m sure to figure out the proper timing
edit: man, does the 1st seismo have to hit the opponent (or be blocked) to be able to do the second one? like if its whiffed you cant cancel into another one?if thats true I think thats my problem haaaaaa
For those of you who can’t land it at all, make sure you’re doing a Seismo that’s hitting the opponent.
Then make sure that you WAIT for the cloud of dust to appear around Viper before trying to do the second one. The motion for it is easy; it’s the timing that throws everyone off.
Just WAIT for the cloud of dust to appear around Viper.
Good lord this stuff REALLY needs to be in a general thread. People not even hitting someone with the seismo and trying to cancel it. This thread will last for the rest of our lives if we don’t do something soon.
haha. deviljin is right. its on the move list anyways… I can get this seismo xx seismo consistenly now… Yeah the first seismo has to hit before you execute the other one.
Just started learning Viper literally 2-3 days ago, at first i couldn’t seismo xx seismo to save my life i kept getting the super jump. Now i’ve got the timing down i get seismo xx seismo all day.
:dp: :mp:(confirm it hit) ~ :dp::r::uf::hp: as long as you let the stick go back to neutral (I keep my hand held higher over the buttons to give myself time to), it works everytime for me. Although this is prolly ezier for me since I have a square gate… so its just like going from down to up
I used the two DF, UB + P combination like mentioned earlier when she has that circle appear and it works like a charm.
Im just wondering two things though. Can she only do this if it connects (block or no block) and… well unless they block and you string them, how exactly is this useful?
yea it has to hit something, otherwise you cant cancel the animation
… since it can only be used if it hits there are two scenarios
a. it hits them, they didnt block. In this case it is pointless… they wont get hit because they are in the air.
b. it hits them, they are blocking low like they should. In this case you can chain for chip damage, or if you are lucky you will catch them with the second one (say you throw out two ex siesmos ) then you can do whatever you want
Could anybody clarify exactly what has to occur for the seismo xx seismo to execute?
From what I’ve read, it seems you do a normal seismo first, wait for it to connect then you execute the consecutive ones with a SJC motion. Or perhaps you do the SJC motion from the very first seismo?
I’ve ever only managed to do it once and I’m positive it was a freak accident that it occured.
Step 1: preform a Seismo
Step 2: did it hit/get blocked? If yes, proceed to step three. If no, start again.
Step 3: SJC another seismo right after the moment of impact, using one of the many ways shown in this thread to do it. If blocked (which is really the only time you should use another Seismo), you will be pushed back slightly so take that into account when preforming the following Seismos.
It HAS to make some sort of connection in order to SJC. Just like any other SJC’able normal attack Viper has.
