Wasn’t really seeing any footsies or set ups at all, man. Every time you were in counter poke range you would just charge focus. HAVE to start start buffering cr.mk into mantis during footsies. As well like the guys said you’ve got to be careful of the teleports and random DPs. Teleport here and there, it’s actually really easy to see but if it’s out of nowhere or when you’re heavily rushing down it can work, and as for the DPs sometimes nothing>random DP. Do what I was thought and ban yourself from using DP unless as an anti air or in a combo for a good while, your footsies will immediately improve. You had some pretty nice reaction DPs to air fireballs though! I’d put some time in on practising your mantis fadc mk launcher combos, I didn’t see any and its where you can really start rushing down with setups/resets/ultra. Also at 3:15 you had nearly a full bar, would have liked to see an fadc on those slashes you would have won the round.
Watch hours of nemo, kyoku (best the birds), ojisan boy and ffc dadaken. You’ll pretty much start learning through proxy. Make sure to try and get XBL matches too though so you can watch the input display. Just watch analyse watch analyse watch analyse watch analyse watch analyse, It should take about 8-10 minutes to watch a 3 min vid if you’re using arrow keys to keep jumping back to analyse why a yang chooses to do anything against a specific character in a specific situation.
I’ve gotten into recording some of my matches on PSN since I finally got a smart phone. I’ve just been recording on a whim, since video recording takes up a lot of storage, and I’m not all that committed to uploading hours of footage by the day/week. The video quality isn’t great, and of course I don’t record all the matches I wish I had. I just can’t record while playing, or stop playing to check the battle log every 20 or so matches to set up to record. It just breaks my rhythm. Maybe eventually I’ll start doing that if I get more interest into uploading.
Oh yeah, I use Yun, Seth, Dudley, Fuerte, and Rose too. but I don’t have any Rose footage yet.
So, the random dp/ultra thing has got to stop. Any good player is going to let you kill yourself if you keep doing that.
I like that you’re aggressive, but you make your approach very obvious. If that Akuma player was better, he’d be AA’ing you for 500+.
I don’t think I saw one reset/set up. That’s what makes Yang Yang. You have to use those tools to your advantage. You were fighting Akuma so the damage isn’t that bad, but anyone with 1000 health would beat you in a match of attrition.
Also, you focus WAAAAYYYYYY too much. Not that the Akuma player was doing anything about it, I personally (since I mained Akuma before switching to Yang) would just sweep/low forward demon/tatsu you every time.
But other than that, you’re doing fine. You on dat dere exbawx or PSN?

D’oh! You should’ve just done jump fierce to ultra for the round @ the 10 minute mark when you had Yun dizzied. the scaling probably wouldn’t have been bad enough to not end it.

from uryos stream playing yang in training mode. the first video @ about 6:30-21:00shows a bunch of seiei enbu stuff. i think its all known info, but its easier for me to process than reading text about it

I know. Every time I try super, I can’t figure how to cancel the blasted thing into palm. Was hoping it would be easier to cancel into palm with far strong in the new Ultra mod while activating super. Nope.
