More substories/sidequests also unlock the farther you get into the game. Not all substories are available at the start of the game.
Trouble Finder just locates where people are getting mugged, its a trash accessory and should be sold immediately. Best way to find sub stories are either 1, scour every inch of the map or 2, check a guide and try and not spoil it for yourself.
Gasaraki: Hawkingbird:I started Yakuza Zero yesterday and its the first game in the series I played. Iām in the chapter 2 just after meeting Mr. Shakedown. How do I get sidequests work in this game? I got the knockout artist guy and I helped out some crappy yanki band. Canāt seem to get anything else.
Just need to come across them. There is an accessory called āTrouble Finderā that highlights all sub stories immediately but I forget where you get it. Good news is sub stories arenāt missable, so just do what you come across/can find.

Nah, it doesnāt do that at all. It only highlights sub story locations. Thing is once high lighted you can remove it. It does NOT highlight muggings, though the item description makes it sound like it
Most substory locations (after you trigger them) should be highlighted via the exclamation points which are keyed in on your in-game map without the need of any accessory. The Trouble Finder just allows you to mark enemies that want to fight. I mainly use it so that I can mess with Mr. Shakedown without having to guess his location.

Make sure you always pick the big box when you get rewarded for Miracle Johnson quests.
They contain the only item you can miss in the game, and itās a very useful one later on in the game.

Thatās not the Trouble Finder, thatās the Encounter Finder. Two different items
If I find the place to buy these finders Iāll get them.
I ended up running into and completing 7 side quests trying to process the main story. I love how hilarious some of them are. Like the quest to find out the secret password just to satisfy Kiryu curiosity.

Never mind then. Had them confused. I didnāt have any real use for the Encounter Finder either though.

Encounter Finder is useful for grinding Mr. Shakedown in 0 since it letās you find them instantly

*Trouble Finder.
(I made the edit just now. I used the encounter finder religiously on the second run through).
On an unrelated note, Jo Amon (Majimaās bonus boss) likes to place fake healing items in your inventory, which actually hurts the player greatly. That cheeky asshole.

Not sure what you mean here, but Mr. Shakedown can definitely be seen on the map with Encounter Finder, not Trouble Finder

I did not start emphasizing on the use of the Encounter Finder until after beating the game once.
On that last statement, I was correcting myself by saying Trouble Finder. I never had any real use behind the Trouble Finder is what I meant to say in relation to another comment I made earlier. And, yes. There was a far better way of doing that.
Iām in chapter 3. This Goro gets one hell of an introduction. Make the drunk costumer a fool, make a show of it and guilt him into paying a massive tab. I like this guy already.

Youāre gonna like him x10 more by the end of the game.
I got the encounter finder by completing a sidequest. Once Iām strong enough to beat Mr. Shakedown Iāll use it to farm him. Interesting that Goro has his own Mr. Shakedown.

They actually. Both have 2 of them lol

Yeah, Majima definitely ended up being my favorite for sure

This game essentially made an already cool character more awesome than he was already. Make sure you do the Sunshine subquests.
Majima is the fucking best. My favorite character for sure.
I thought being good at Space Harrier would get the cute arcade worker to give it up. Living is painful.

But did you get her Telephone Cards and Video Clip, though?
