Sega Stick Appreciation Thread!

A simple HSS-0136 mod I did for a customer…
All he asked was swap the buttons with Seimitsu Clear buttons…and keep the colour scheme thing on the buttons.

Since I damaged the original art quite badly…I had to spend 5 hours recreating the artwork, and this is it…

Maybe I should have used illustrator or the like, so I didn’t have too spend too much time drawing the lines and curves…

Best thing from the doing this mod, was the owner lending me his Saturn to test the stick…
Since I never played on a Saturn(no-one I knew, had it… :frowning: ).

If anyone wants the artwork…

I had use HOT water to loosen the original art to peal it off my HSS-0136.
Still waiting on my part order or I provide pics

Question what joystick did you use?

I remember using these sticks back in the xmen vs sf days (1997):

And you posted it on this thread right?

Good job… Coz probably I’d have torn the paper by accident while peeling the wet artwork.

I didn’t change the joystick…
So it still uses the stock one…

I might have to consider reusing the stock joystick if I run into issues with fitting the LS-56.
If I do I differently have to clean, re-lube and perhaps a microswitch replacement. Yes it means unsoldering and re-soldering microswitches.
The stock ball top looks like it been dragged all over the sidewalk a few times, so that is being replaced.

Sega Loooooooooooove…

Can’t wait for my AE Marquee to get in from GameonGraphics…

^I R JELOUS!

I think i’ve used my Sticks maybe 3 times since i’ve got the blast… Kinda sad but playing fighting games on this thing is a completely different experience.

Once you go cab you don’t go back.

^ Very true. As a matter of fact, I’ll be selling some of my sticks because of my cabinet addition. Keep yer eyes peeled.

Too true.

I offloaded all but two of my sticks after getting the Blast.

sega love !!!

Trade me panels ??? I need a Blast Panel for my Blast City!!

@ ibeatu

Where did you get that Blast City panel that opens up?

From an old Blast City cab.

Current WIP.

Going to be Epic. The last AgeTec I had I gave to a friend when Vanilla SF4 came out. I’ve missed it ever since. Full Sanwa and Adding a Paewang When it gets here…

Looking to buy some replacement Top Screws as mine are a bit rusty. Let me know if you have any extra.

Plan on doing anything with that yellow START button. I have never seen a custom that used anything else, I would like to see what else could work in that spot.

The SEGA VSHG prototypes shown at TGS way back are hot. I know someone on another forum that has the 2 that were being demoed/sent all over the world. I WANT IT.

This is my SEGA Appreciation

Thanks Ibeatu

Thought I’d post a recent mod that I finally finished after having it cracked open for about a year. This HSS-0136 was MCC modded w/RJ-45, Hori buttons w/ Rollie Switches, Original LS-56 stick w/ Rollie Shaft and Sanwa Balltop. I switched the Shaft cuz the original was very rusty and had electrical tape for a shaft cover! Also added 24mm Sanwa w/ Rollie switch for select button.
