'Twas on the front page… felt that a copy should be posted here.
I kinda have a problem with both. The bomb infinite isnt really new. A bunch of characters have access to infinite using this assist. And just like the first infinite, the new variation is still character specific( tall characters only) and still isnt practical at all. I mean dont get me wrong…I wish it was…I just dont see either of these pieces of tech being able to improve Nemesis.
I actually knew of that infinite, discovered it right after I put out the Thriller combo video. Nem’s moves scale so hard, though, didn’t think it was worth recording. It’s good, but Joe assist p1 only is a bit limiting, that pair does nothing for each other aside from 50,000 really swaggy bomb combos (I still love st.H S+bomb HS, land, loop it 3 times).
That TAC one is pretty swag, looks damn hard to do, but swag nonetheless.
Meh.
It’s probably not going to get more players to pick up Nemesis, but I felt that archiving it here would make it easier for others to find than, let’s say, rummaging through the front pages.
residentevilrulez made a sequel.
Why I posted it? Same reason I did for the last two videos - keeping an archive here.
There was some neat uses of drones extensions, and I liked the Dorm combo. Pretty neat stuff.
I guess since we are on the topic of CMV’s, I’d like to leave this teaser for the 3rd installment of Giants of Science! Gonna record a lot of it tonight at a friends house. He has a LGP so I can record in high quality instead of from my phone. Itll be worth the wait!
Finally finished my latest combo video! The Giants have returned!
hooray for science!
You got the front page of EH too
My first combo video that got a front page on ANYTHING! Well, there was that one community combo video we did that Duke put together. But still…this is crazy! Im speechless…
Them secrets though!
online nemmy players need to tk rocket more…hell they just need to rocket more period!!!
I dunno man…the recovery on air rockets is crazy. In a world where mashing sL 50 billion times can lead to a dead character, air rockets need to be placed carefully so that the opponent cant just plink on over to ya and mash that light. Air Deadly Reach + Air rocket is a decent poke string though as long as you space it right so the tentacles dont whiff.
thats only an issue if they dont block the rocket and if they arent blocking the rocket something isnt in your favor. throwing out a tk rocket from fullscreen as they try to counter with an assist call only to get both hit is golden…and the panic that they go through realizing their neutral assist just died!!!
point is be smart with your rockets because…science!!!
It also depends on which assist is out there. For example, when Doom beam assist is called, Doom comes well behind the point character. So air rocket gets nullified, and depending on who the point character is, it could lead to a full combo.
My point is, from my experience, air rocket is not something I do much against more meta teams.
Edit to elaborate more: Yeah air rockets should be kept in mind, but only in certain match ups. There are some match ups where you should limit your time in the air and keep air rockets to a minimum. Some examples.
●Deadpool: Like seriously…jumping medium guns? Just forget you even have that move until Deadpool is gone.
●Viper: Seimos plus optic blast almost removes air rockets from Nem…ALMOST! You can super jump a little and then do air rocket to escape optic blast’s huge hitbox. Plus she can punish an air rocket shot with EX Thunder Knuckle. Ok to use rockets against her as long as its well placed.
●Astral’d Morrigan: You may be able to tag an assist call or nullify a fist or two but once in Astral Vision, the fists from behind will tag ya. Very rarely is any trade with Astral Soul Fists worth it. Not even mentioning her backed by assists…forget air rockets here.
●Hawkeye: Air Triple Arrows ignore rocket, but it will trade with grounded Triple Arrows. Not to mention his arsenal or upward arrows like Scatter Shot and Triple Piercing. Use air rockets sparingly.
Those are just a few examples. Air rockets are still really good…but just consider your opponents’ tools because air rockets still have a lot of startup time and leave Nem in the air for a good bit of time.
i agree completely! ive gotten blown up countless times because ive been too liberal/stubborn with my rocket usage. knowing your matchups is definitely key with any character and you have way more matchup experience than i do at a consistently higher level. experience to me is everything especially with all the “bs” this games characters bring…so with that in mind you, fuzzy, and duke more than outclass me!
however i feel bad for anyone who doesnt know the nemmy matchup by now!!!
Yeah man! Secret low teir tech FTW!
I outclass no one
I main Deadpool atm, so yeah, I can tell you JDog’s Nemesis does the best of any that I’ve fought, and Nemmy doesn’t fight Deadpool well unless I’m already caught in the middle of a mixup.
Astral Morrigan I hate fighting with Nemesis, and Deadpool too for that matter, and honestly pretty much everyone, but I try to throw out tentacles right before she can shoot a soul fist, a lot of reach means I have a chance to just delay the chipstorm. With bolts I get a few seconds before it becomes an awful matchup, but it helps.
Hawk vs Nemesis I have had a massive problem with in the past, if he’s got an air control assist like mystic ray, missiles, strider, or task’s vertical arrows, it’s hard to even think straight with that huge body getting arrow-to-knee’d all over the place.
However, Dorm and Strange are pretty tall, tentacles make that matchup as far as getting in super manageable, but I don’t think it’s much of a time for rockets.
Air rocket I am also unsure of against Wolvy and Wesker, that lateral movement is rather quick, even a TK doesn’t cover the ground low enough.
So I managed to make top 3 in a local ranbat last night…on losers side though. So I have footage from top 3 for your viewing pleasure. Any feedback is much appreciated…especially for advice on fighting Cap if yall have any.
Wow, I actually didn’t know this. My first post in Nemmy forums in a while and it’s anti-Nemesis tech I found on YouTube. ;_;
