I dunno, it’s just Marvel’s whole direction of late has just been bothering me to no end. It just seems like instead of writing for the characters, they are just using them.
Just having the Avengers as a mutt version of the JLA irks the hell out ofme. Just having Spidey and Wolverine there, it’s just ugh city.
It’s like they are handing the complete history of 40 years of Marvel Continuity to someone who seems like he barely understands it. Oh well, it doesn’t seem like it’s bothering anyone because they are selling comics.
The whole Tony Stark is president Bush thing is so tired. So is having a street team of Avengers and a US supported team.
All of this is just so lame. It just makes me sad because the characters are being monopolized and tainted by a small group of people.
I know that is a hugely nerdy statement, but it just makes me sad inside. I miss Geoff Johns on the Avengers. How can you let someone sign an exclusive contract when he manages to make The Falcon cool?

Like I just finished MA 8, why would he keep virus’ up in space? He doesn’t want to kill everyone, he doesn’t want to destroy the planet.
Why not go take Pym in instead of asking him for help. I mean his creation Ultron just tried to destroy the planet.

Okay I just finished reading the Doom Story, ugh.
- The allusion to the current situation in Iraq was stupid and totally out of character for everyone. Why would Iron Man just go and attack Latveria? Why would the rest of the world just sit there and not react in some way? Why didn’t Doom say “This was not an attack, one of my satellites was tampered do to your friend Pyms mistake with an accident occured” or something to that effect. He just went all crazy and fought back.
You know Doom should have some crazy super protection shield for all of Latveria. Hasn’t he already used one?

Doom should have never gone to jail, it bothers my nerditude to the highest of levels. Remember when he fought with Storm and Black Panther, he turned off storms powers, and then he simply teleported them out of his castle.
You’re telling me Doom wouldn’t have some hyper advanced radar system to tellhim when someone is approaching Latveria who isn’t authorized? Iron Man’s armor is telling him about every weather storm happening in the world at the same time.
You’re telling me Doom’s armor wouldn’t be alerting him to someone flying unauthorized towards the castle? Or that a satellite of his containing a virus was just tampered with?
Why would the virus just be in a ball that could fall to earth?

At least the back in time issue was entertaining. Dr. Doom wasn’t written completely wrong there.
Last I know of Apocalypse the Celestials stopped him from dying because he still owes them due to technology he has recieved from them over the years. So he’s still on the loose for now, probably just laying low and scheming.

His whiny bitch tantrum at Ms Marvel, while funny ( for the wrong reasons ), was horrible.
If he’s not a Skrull, then Bendis is just a terrible writer. If he is a Skrull, he still has no idea how to characterize Doom. Doom punked out the Devil, how is he going to get replaced by a bunch of green loser aliens?

If Bendis really knew Doom, and wanted to make him a skrull for the sheer surprise factor of it. He’d have them replace an incredibly detailed Doombot, and have doom just sit back the whole time waiting with the perfect solution to the problem ( some sort of super skrull virus, a la the war of the worlds ) , and he’ll only use it when Richards admits he’s below Doom.
Doom gets to humiliate Richards and comes out like a hero to the world.
Too bad that won’t be the ending, and Secret Invasion is just going to set up the next stupid crossover.
^ Spider-woman and Luke Cage will probably save the day too. They are the most important Marvel characters these days afterall. :rollseyes:
