Probably because Bendis has a ton more imput than Quesada and Bendis at least has some common sense not to do anything stupid. This isn’t OMD where Quesada took over and in a sense wrote a sloppy ass story.

It’s one of those things where he can Mephisto has the ability to alter the universe and read every even of your life, then change it, and break the world. While he did say magic has no rules, realize that the Skrulls had time to experiment around with Dr. Strange’s magic so they already developed something that would make them immune to Strange detecting them.
We still don’t know what Reed found out from Skrullectra since Pym blasted him in the face. Judging by the way he was talking it seems like it was something that was obvious.
