I make poor choices in character selection haha. It fucking sucks. Coincidently this happened to me in 3s too, used 204859 characters and wasn’t competitive with one of them. Not until I decided to stick to just one anyway.
The only reasons I was picking Jin was because (most of the time) when I land launchers it equals damage. Not to say Kazuya doesn’t do damage, it’s just mines doesn’t at this time. Plus I tend to play safer with Jin. Also Kicks doesn’t have Bruce and he is who I believe to be my best character right now. Jin’s a character I will end up using some time though don’t worry, that guy’s tight. But anyway, I haven’t dropped Kazuya, I’m gonna keep using him despite the fucked up card and frustration.
Actually I have taken a long hard think and decided that I will play feng when the game comes out on consol because I don’t want to invest the money to learn a new character, so until the game comes out for home play I will be using good o’ll reliables, Paul, LEI, and Law.
Since I was informed last night that Tekken 5 will be coming out on console next month. I will not be spending anymore money attending sessions. Why you ask? Because it’s simple…
1-Bruce isn’t selectable at the arcade of choice yet.
2-I’m not really learning anything, just losing, and getting mad.
3-I lose to some horrible ass people.
So there you have it folks. The two reasons to go to the arcade to play, (cards and learning) aren’t applicable to me because: A-my cards are fucked up and B-I don’t learn anything. Ladies and Gents I’m gone. BLacKouT!
who cna tell me how to turn up the volume on a T5 cab? i wanna turn up the volume on our T5 cab… there doesnt seem to be a knob where it usually is in other cabs (near the service/test buttons…) how can i do it? Our T5 cab is REALLY quiet…

According to Ziggy the console version of t5 is coming out in America before it hits Japan, which seems fishy, but hey I am going to have to go with Ziggy and believe him becasue of the fact that this guy seems to be eating, breathing, and having sex with tekken 5… you don’t have 3 cards for craig mardock, beccause that is quite ugly that is a minimum of 1,500 games…wow that is buff, that’s like 750 dollars. Which is why I am going to wait for t5 to come out on consil as well, becuause it looks like It will be too damn expensive to learn anybody fully, except for the good o’ll trio of Paul, Lei, and Law, those guys seem to be relativly the same except with a few new moves, so You will be seeing uglieness from both me an Minh for a couple of months, we are raw with these three characters, unless we are playing agianst Rick and Paris, believe me it has been proven so many times, those two are the only two who were able to seperate High Teir(Rick and Paris) from Scrub Tier (Kyle and Minh). Our tactics in Tekken are the equivelent to playing a random Mexican in California using Team Scrub, you probably are skillfully better than us in the game, but we are so ugly in Tekken that We probably will get the “W” only because we have a “Seattle Mind Set” when it comes to Tekken and that is get as much damage with the least amount of hits so we won’t get confused.
Man how can you give up the black man’s street fighter? I get annoyed with the game alot. but i have faith the tekken gods will let me see threw the scrubbish ways of the people i play against. or just have RBX tell me whats up cuz he is usually always standing right behind me when im playing. Then i go 2 wunderland if my record ever dips below .500 . :tup: stay strong nigga, unleast until bruce comes out where your at.
Yea don’t give up this truly is the black man’s streetfighter as well as a pretty popular asian game, therefore according to your theory on marvel, you will beast all the time and even more so because your half black too. Besides worse comes to worse focus on easier tactics instead of the more advanced tactics (this is what me an minh have been doing since 3) and then when the consule version comes out you can focusing on doing the more flashy things in the game, but until then just do what it takes to win, and by that I mean throw poke throw.
Raishinken and Kyle, thanks for your replies. You know what’s funny? Is I’ve heard that term “black man’s Street Fighter” used for Tekken before. I guess it really is the black man’s SF, after all Paris is fuckin crazy in Tekken.
I was reading TZ.com today and was a reading a thread Insanelee made about Raven not being top tier. And he was talkin about how Julia is linear and you ss/sw to her left hella. And it made me think about how a gang of people say she’s good. In my experience with asking people who’s top tier in Tekken, there’s usually always a couple characters that are staples for top tier. But then after that, it’s different opinions/views depending on who you ask. I suppose it says a lot about the game’s balance. Where I’m going with this I don’t really know but I felt like replying in this thread and that’s what I was thinking about at the moment.
As far as I’m concerned though, the only characters that suck to me are Lee and Asuka. Maybe Lei and Kuma too, but then again the only people (actually the only PERSON) I’ve seen use Lei and Kuma sucked. Yes it was the same person that used both. Other than that I believe you can pick anyone, put in work, and reap SUCCESS! :tup: :encore:
Okay I was looking around bestbuy trying to use the gift card that I won from ROW on friday and randomly saw that Tekken 5 will be released on 2-23-05, and was avalible for reserve. for all of your information.
