Extended shouts later. Thanks to Harmon/Fugee/Eric (bluechun)/Jeff/Brandon for being the engine to make SB run.

Thanks to Harmon for inventing the Phoenix showdown, the greatest and most creative event I’ve seen in the community, IFC Yipes for the Good vs. Evil name, and the players of course for delivering something unforgettable.

Thanks to our foreign friends: Poongko, Uryo, Momochi, Tokido, Mago, Laugh, Infiltration and Spider Carnage (Aus). I’m honored that you all traveled to SB and hope you’ll remember the trip fondly for a long time.

Thanks to Spooky. Hardest working mofo and a joy to work with.

Thanks to Brokentier, EventHubs, Focus Attack, TwitchTV, Gummowned/Strogg/Duckie, Focus Fire, Cross Counter, Skull Girls, Hori, Madcatz, and FingerCramp for working with us! And thanks to Eventhubs for making a way better results thread than I would  Top 32 will be posted in MvC3/SF4 btw

Also special props to EX Testament / Atlas / Omg itz Andre / Curly W / D’Nyce for doing so much for bracket after bracket all weekend.

If someone wants to recap East Coast/West Coast standings for me please post up!

I had a great time this Chris and crew.

Spooky will put up all the official videos soon. We’d appreciate people not stealing our video, but as that’s unavoidable, at least when ours go up the quality will be really nice compared to the broadcast.

Thanks Ray for running VS!!

my math may be wrong here but both teams = 12 points

but anyways gs to all

thanks for providing some xvsf

ill play mago in cvs2 some day

Ghaleon - Thanks for the fun.

Kajoq - Why am I listed as Chicago?

Mig Barcus - You are too warm.

Chaucy - You bought me a smoothy. Friends for life.

Limbo - You own my soul right now.

Humbag - Thank you for the warm up games Friday. I would not have made it out of my pool without those.

Pr Rog and Ricky - Thank you so much for the warm up games Sunday. Even though I ended up losing my next match, I learned a lot playing you both.

Everyone else - Much love. Thanks for cheering when I was on stream.

GS to everyone involved with SB. Chris, Harmon and Fugee are awesome and I was glad to be there for the event.

Props to the MK9 people and all the good games that were being had over in the MK corner. Absolutely loved the VS tournament and was glad to see Dayton/Cincy repping well.

MoMo’s will be sorely missed as the SB location of choice, but I’m already looking forward to what you guys have in store for next year : )

Shoutouts to me not seeing Arturo until Sunday and *still *not getting to talk to him #hollywoodstatus

A HUGE thanks to Ghaleon, Harmon, fugee, and all those involved for making SB:V a great last event at MoMo2. I ain’t doing extended shoutouts but to those I met/saw it was good seeing you

don’t you mean scott?!?!?!

Kyle’s fault. =x

Shoutouts to Ghaleon for being such an on-point tourney organizer. I had a blast demoing skullgirls to everyone at the event and showing it off on stream. Shoutouts to everyone who came and played the game and gave impressions. Had an amazing time!

This was my first major ever and I am glad I had gone. I’m kinda hooked now, and can’t wait to go to the next one.

I hope Season’s Beatings happens again. Really liked the environment…competition, but still a strong sense of community and fun.

Scott Ghaleon is a real man.

Thanks Fugee and Ghaleon for another great year @ momo’s. The event always delivers!

One of these tournaments I won’t flake out on Vampire Savior, lol.

GGs to all. I feel like I held my ground pretty well. Didn’t get randomed out, only lost to great players. Still looking to max out my potential and come back better.

Min - Good shit winning our last qualifying spot in our pool. Seemed like you were more prepared for the match up once you got going. I’ll see you at NEC!

Lud - Time to get serious again! lol

Jan - Nice Zangief, the rumors of your patience holds true.

Air - Definitely want a rematch, your Ryu played very clean.

Also, on a side note. Who was the guy recording Momochi’s casuals on the station? I want to check those matches out. I was the Viper player that played against him. I believe I went after Lud.

I will be @ NEC, so see y’all there!

STL here, not chicago~

I’ll change the GvE score – Justin I think was 4-1.

Topics to discuss:

Did you like MvC3 finals after SF4? We changed that on the spot because of SB being a Marvel-centric event + SF4 would be better in primetime with all the internationals + MvC3 would be more hype at the venue.

Who is also now sick  ?

MvC2 event didn’t go down obviously. The few top players there (Neo, Justin, Yipes chiefly) felt it wasn’t worth doing with the cast we had. Plus they weren’t practicing anyway. VDO was prob the only one really hungry for it. :frowning: Marvel really is dead. We gave it a great send-off at SBR with that huuuuge pot bonus and long team tournament at least.

And I hope you guys liked the layout. I REEEALLY thought we were leaps and bounds ahead of last year and couldn’t have been happier.

Thanks again to everyone for making SB special yet again!!

I do indeed have the post-SB illness, but it’s fading away XD

I loved the layout and didn’t feel cramped at all during the weekend save for finals when everyone was grouped together in order to watch the big screen. While I couldn’t stay for MvC3 finals I do feel that putting it after SSFIV:AE finals was a great move; the reasons you mentioned above I completely agree with. No MvC2 event actually did make me kind of sad. I wanted to see VDO win it all!

GS Chris. Maybe next year have some voluntary surveys for people to complete? More feedback is rarely a bad thing.

Thanks to Ghaleon and Harmon for running the whole thing and letting me run many brackets. I’m sure it must have been weird to give this guy you didn’t know at all a bunch of responsibilities, but I’m very appreciative. Thanks also to them for putting up with my obsessive nature when I suggested how best to float people in brackets to make it even. Sorry, I can’t help it. It’s what I do.

Thanks to all the people I got to talk to who I’ve never really chatted with before: Josh the Funk Doc (spelled it right this time), Osirun (wish I could have talked with you more about podcasts), UltraDavid (hopefully the bracket discussion wasn’t too boring), Zerp (can’t wait to come back to Bethesda and check out a DC-area gathering), Min, Arturo Sanchez, Kujo Kate, Fubarduck, and Jason Cole.

Thanks to Phreakazoid for the link.

Thanks to Webster for being impressed with my girlfriend.

Thanks to Keits for helping me with the design for my dream upstairs bathroom.

Thanks to Chauncy for being Chauncy.

Thanks to the Chicago and Illinois people for being awesome. And drunk. Fucking drunk.

Thanks to Columbus for having Yuengling. I brought back two cases to Chicago.

And thanks to Momo2 for being an awesome place to be, regardless of how many people are there.

See everybody in Chicago next Memorial Day for UFGT8.

Edit: Almost forgot, two more thanks.

Thanks to Yipes for being so excited to face Momochi in AE on stream, then dropping out of the tournament after the epic match. That was so Yipes.

And thanks to FR Dickslicer for being the second-most embarrassing name I’ve ever had to yell out while running a bracket, just behind SDM somemexicanguy.
