My only grip with the tournament was security on the donated stuff. Obviously not much can be done about the stations, but having my ps3 in a bag in an open area up front where anyone could pick it up was kinda disappointing. I would suggest a secure area where all the unused donated equipment can be stored, preferably in a locked room, or at least a supervised room.
There is a locked room where unused stuff was stored. I think that was just a case of someone bringing it out by mistake and someone else taking advantage.
So hopefully that was the only instance of something getting stolen inside the venue.
It really is bullshit that no matter what event it is, there’s always some dickhead who wants to ruin it for someone else. The community as a whole needs to be more vigilant on the issue, because I’m sure there are people out there reading this knowing who is stealing and not coming forward about it.
Nah, I didn’t have my stuff stolen… I gave in my PS3 on friday before the venue opened, but it remained in that area all the way until saturday afternoon. I then picked it up Sunday night, where Ghaleon was watching over it at least. I wasn’t aware there was a locked room, so I guess I withdraw my gripe then.
