SB4 was prolly the best tourney i’ve been to save for EVO… it was well ran, had a bangin venue, had a great level of competition and lots of people to hangout with… sadly i didn’t do too well… i went 4 and 2 in SF4 and i prolly got DQd from BB after my first loss cuz i was gridlocked in SF4… but i was all good… i got to hang with friends, play some good games, meet some new people, and take some sweet pictures which i can link to later
lastly the SF4 finals were exciting as hell, i loved being in the front and gambling on random turnouts and watnot… ggodshit to everyone who made it to the top 16 with special remarks for Wolfrkrone who’s c.viper smoked heads and day and nite with that ruby red ps3 pad, Andre who had Daigo wishing he had better counterattack options, Eduardo who my money was on, Joe for jumping at the chance to play Daigo in the loser’s finals and damn near foaming at the mouth, Floe for going easy on joe and staying with sagat insteada switching to rog, JWong for running the game ragged in the grand finals while using Fei Long ( i tell ya the beast wasn’t ready for Bruce baby!), and ofcourse to Daigo for coming and happily winning 2 tournaments… it’s likely that if he didn’t attend and compete we woulda had a smaller turnout which in turn would’ve meant less prize money a smaller venue and no gratitude prizes for 3rd, 4th, or 5th place

Marvel will get its own disc, with this year’s Top 8 + toan/fanatiq (AirBushKing got some great pre- and post-match footage of this!) + SB2 3-way + SB3 Justin/Yipes and EC/WC + Justin’s big $$ low-tier match around Evo … 2008 I believe + whatever else can fit on there.
Rest of Top 8 + Daigo/Justin interviews would be on the main one.
We don’t want to lose momentum so we’re talking to Seb about the footage and want to get this out as soon as we can. More as we go.

The best part about a Bubble Tea/Smoothie is that you basically make it whatever flavor you want. Watermelon smoothie with mango jelly and tapioca bubbles FTW. The tapioca bubbles at Momo’s are the best consistency of any I’ve had.
Cane’s Chicken continues to be GDLK. I haven’t had so much chicken in a long time. They only do chicken fingers and they do them on such a high level that J.Wong and Daigo would be very accepting of. Or maybe I just like chicken and Cane’s sauce. :lol:
**REAL TALK: Best tournament I’ve ever been to. Like EVER. Until the next SB. ** Evo is cool and all but…there’s just something about being at a super hype tourney that isn’t Evo that has me hooked. Maybe it’s just not having to take a plane. On the real I TRULY BELIEVE this was better than Evo. Hands down. That’s hella controversial whatever…but that’s my opinion.
Like if you only go to one tournament a year this is the tournament to go to. Just the sense of community and attention to detail at these tournaments is amazing and the venue can’t be beat. I hope SB4 is at Momo’s for all eternity. **Fugee and Ghaleon can’t thank you guys enough. ** I know J.Wong and Daigo were the ones up on the big screen and it’s amazing that you got these two to fight in the middle of F’n nowhere and that’s the reason why 60,000 people wanted to watch. I mean who wouldn’t want to see Daigo fight hours away from Kentucky?! :lol: You 2 were the true stars of the event and the reason this even went down in the first place. East coast truly has RECOGNITION in the year of 2009 because of you 2 and I can’t thank u guys enough for that. I literally ate Canes chicken all 3 days…didn’t even eat inside Momo’s.
This venue was/is one of the most suitable places to have a FG tourney.
TY to every single person involved in preparing and running this. Even the pool leaders did a fackin’ fantastic job making sure the pools were progressing smoothly.

Speed 4 definitely, PS3 questionable. It was dropping a lot of crossup combos, and sometimes (like with DJ for example) the move would come out and completely wiff, yet if you stay in the same spot and do the same move it would hit. Most noticeable was crossup forward and then low fierce after, and this was on more than one PS3.

Cane’s is horrible…I guess if you haven’t eaten it before it’s something new, but it’s probably the worst chicken I’ve ever had. Only thing they have that I like is the toast.
Season Beating was amazing. I have never been so excited at a tourney then this. The level of competition was through the roof. It was worth the 9 hour drive from Columbia,SC. Momo’s was the best venue for a tourney ever. It had good food and spacious and causual setup’s everywhere. Got to meet amazing players like DevilJin(nice suit), Dr.Chaos, GoodGief, and many others. Getting drunk at Gameworks and play Tekken 6 BR with friends playing other players from sb4 was fun to. i will definitely come back next year and try to bring more of SC. btw it was funny to see Diago using his DSI on the couch a couple of hours before his FT10 against Justin Wong.
