Seasons Beatings IV: New Crack City Full Results

Yeah, XB360 and be done with it. In addition to the other questionable shit, the button config bug would be avoided.

OK, we are doing a 2nd run of shirts!
See the OP for details.

Please let anyone you know who wanted to buy one that we’re doing this run – it would really suck to do a small run and only sell like 25% of it.

the weekend was all about some canes chicken!! it was so tender so juicy and priced so right…lets not forget that amazing toast…soft and crispy!!! how did they do it…thanks to eric kim for giving me the low down on the most amazing chicken in the whole damn universe…im actually having withdrawls from not having it…oh and gotta givethanks to ol girl workin at McDonalds who let us walk up to the drive thru…what a nice ol gal…

oh yea good tournament too…ummm chicken…

I have to say that this event was gawdlike!!

I’ve never been to SB, so this was my first trip to the midwest. Reminds me soo much of New England… anyways, Congrats to Fugee and Ghaleon. Fugee, thanks again man for all your hospitality! You’re great for the fgc. Please, I hope you change your mind and continue the SB tradition… it’d be a shame to go out on top… I’d say keep making them better and better!
Also, how fucking random that local Columbus emcee Jakki tha mottormouth got 3rd in umk3. I was telling Envelope had I known I woulda hit him up on the day before to get up.

Thanks Seb for the Streaming, recording matches (specially the Daigo mm Justin hosted in the room)
I didn’t want to reply to the whole convo madnes on the other thread, but you should should not listen to ungrateful people, regardless the year they joined srk. Heads need to eat some humble pie with some thankful ice cream with it!

Thanks Justin for being patient with me and the filming process…
I realized this trip how important you are to the fgc right now. I mean, I’ve felt you were the top us player all around for years now, but it wasn’t until I saw your leadership in the room the last few hours Diego had that it came to me the great service you were doing by having people level up aka mm Diego.
(that’s right, Diego Huy mi jarra Guey… dude is mexican YJDK).

My NYC Mahvel fam! You guys know what it is! see ya’ll at cf…

Erick V, Ski Sonic, always a pleasure seeing you guys around…

Ian, Team Canada, & others… nice meeting you guys…

Havad, nice formally meeting you this weekend dude… and a pleasure doing bussines with you  :china:

All around I have to agree that this event might have been the best ever! I was at EVO this year, and I think SB4 has Evo2k9 beat… that’s just my 2 cents…

~Shankar

PS- @Ghaleon: I have the whole set in MvC2 between Josh 360 and Justin Wong, including the match where JWong came back with 5% Storm to beat all 3 of Josh’s characters… aka JWong MvC2 comeback #4.

PPS- Chris Hu’s commentary during the Diego MM in Justin’s room was sooo top tier! Maybe cause I was niced up, but that shit had me dying!!

I posted photos on my blog. Be warned that there’s about 4 MB of photos and it might take a minute to load, but I prefer having the photos laid out this way instead of thumbnailed in a gallery. Photos are also SF4-specific. Thanks for putting on a great event. It was my first tournament and I had so much fun.

Ok i barely log on srk but a friend told me about this post so i had to comment. Dark Geese your 1000% correct and ive been saying that for the longest but whenever i do people look at you like you just spoke another language. Yes there are people that are really great players and the gap between you two may be bigger than the nutty professor but “NEVER” give up! Never say that someone will always be better than you because what happens when you go to a tourney and the magical die roll both you guys together??? I tell you what happens your FREE and your not really trying to win your just playing at that point and your mind f***ed as soon as you realize who your playing.

i ask a lot of people why do you play??? other than the fact that its fun and you like anime, why do you play?

Ive gotten some really sad answers but the best one i heard was someone said i just wanna be a problem for anybody i play no matter who it is thats really good. but like Geese said if you are content with being under a person forever then there is nothing wrong with that.

Thanks to everyone posting media in this thread, keep it coming!

Great writeup on the tourney, Protocol. Sounds like you had a great time. Playing in tourney is def a monumental difference than casuals. It’s even worse for players now that arcades are dead and you don’t get that waiting-then-must-play-my-best experience today. You get used to it  just keep going out to tournies and have fun. And glad to see myself in a couple pics since I barely got any others taken – you can see me zooming around out of focus in one, I was The Flash all weekend running from place to place.

Man the best part of the tournament was seeing you actually be a fan and enjoying the finals instead running around making sure everything is work haha! Congrats man!!! You and Fugee hold it down once again and best believe I’m in there next year Cane’s FTW!

I think you mislabeled the “Sanford vs WolfKrone” picture. That didn’t look like WolfKrone. The guy you labeled as CheckMate is actually WolfKrone unless that was his other name.

Thanks for catching the mistake!

Videos are coming as we speak. Currently Daigo MMs and 3s casuals are up.

Is top 32 results/top 16 teams available? If not, I can understand why it would be a hassle.

5th teams was MagMan/moose/Dr.Chaos

Great pictures and what a lovely stick ! It seems that you have been obsessed with Kim Tae-yeon haha. Anyhow, do you know approx. how tall daigo is? I am just really curious about it. Thanks

Also VegitaX is the one on the floor and Lud was in the chair.

Hey how many people entered UMK3 ???

Which one is porkloaf? He would troll me on PSN all the time and spaz out random ass messages LOL.

  1. I think it may have been a mistake running it as early as we did (Friday night).

The hype for the game was Saturday night after the main event, I think we would have had at least double that after the crowd was gathering around and watching the MMs and ghaleon/fugee play.

Ok but how many people entered???

sorry, the number was hiding there in front of my post, lol

OH LOL 11 really 11 LOL and they made a big deal out of it , solid!!! my bad hahahah. hahah my friend got 6th and I thought that meant something LOL  i love this game.
