It’s a match up I play every week against one of the best Chuns in the US. I’ve studied that match up inside out and I can’t see it being 7-3. Chun has a spot on the screen she can win at which IMO is not 7-3 material. 7-3 or worse is when one character doesn’t have any winnable situations and has to basically play super risky to get anything done.
I thought that’s 8-2 or worse? 6-4 is what a slight but substantial disadvantage? Then wouldn’t 7-3 be a moderate disadvantage, 8-2 a large disadvantage, 9-1 an almost unwinnable match up, and 10-0 unwinnable?
So even Japan acknowledges Akuma is kinda bullshit, lol. Though they have it right in my opinion; let him keep his amazing offensive capabilities, but just trim his defensive capabilities back a bit.
Interesting that Yang is one of the most voted characters and that they want to up his stamina to 950 and also up his offensive capabilities. Makes sense actually since he’s the only 900 health character that does so little damage and also has to contend with low vitality.

well thank u. although i gave up on Aksel (99% sure he’s trolling). i can only take stupidity and stubbornness for so long…and yeah i was laughing hard at the flame war. i guess everyone thought…last day…fuck it
can i ask who are you playing with? do you have footage of those matches? im not trolling or anything im really curious about those 2 thing i left bolded.
Everyone is asking for new characters, stages, colour editor, and other useless bull crap.
This update is most likely going to be like 2013, free and as bare-bones as possible so they should be asking for functional changes like updated netcode and fixing unblockables. The only change they should make that isn’t gameplay or online oriented I think is bringing back the old SF4 announcer, the Super guy is much less fun.
Seriously, I’m willing to bet a lot of people won’t pay a dime for SF4 anymore, dividing the community isn’t a good idea at all.
I have a feeling they might add characters as exclusive paid DLC add-ons, specially Rolento with Ono’s tweet about it it’s almost guaranteed! IMO that’s absolutely bullshit for a fighting game where you want to take the characters you’re having difficulties with in training mode and come up with strategies for them. I don’t care if Marvel or any other game does it, It’s WRONG!
Also, why the hell balance a game and introduce new characters that nobody knows how they’ll affect the matchups? Such a bad idea and I can’t believe people want to learn more than 39 matchups.
I think the new characters will be DLC add-ons. Remember Capcom had that character popularity poll very recently, the results posted less than a month ago. It is unlikely a coincidence. I think the odds of new characters are very high (and you got the easy ones to put in like the ones in SFxTekken).
The main problem I see with new character is that it isn´t guaranteed, how strong or weak a character will be. Character X could be either too weak or too broken or some aspects aren´t well balanced of the character, which means that another tweaks will be needed for the mentioned character.
There is a part of me that wants new characters but the actual smart player side of me knows new characters at this point likely wouldn’t pan out well.
I honestly wouldn’t mind paying for some aesthetic stuf like costumes or stages though. Mainly I just want the bandage shirt alt for Makoto. It’s absolutely perfect.
If there are added characters I doubt it will be a ton. I think deep down we are all fascinated by new characters, especially if they are very different from all existing characters. The only concern is balance, and more work obviously since you have more match ups to learn.
