More fun news: ebola can spread asymptomatically. You do not have to have symptoms or even a fever to be contagious. This just gets better and better. Now there’s rumors of a news blackout concerning confirmed cases in 3 or more states.
1, Those who would try for that sort of thing handle gunfire like any other human; they don’t. And everyone dies, just a matter of when, so even if they are “successful” while they’re around, you better believe anything related to someone like that will be scrubbed out of existence.
Look at Germany, and how seriously they treat the negation of anything at ALL associated with Nazi rhetoric. In the depressingly-probable event that you personally actually believe stuff like that works, fair warning; time and other people will prove you wrong just like they have every other dictator and tyrant in all of history.
2, We don’t live in fucking fiction. Stop thinking Orwellian themes actually apply to reality; they do NOT. You know how that shit goes in reality? You will die for trying, and you will NEVER succeed in the long run. And when I say “never succeed”, I mean that quite literally. Look at every conflict in human history.
3. Assassination of the scum responsible, to be specific.
tl;dr: You say “irreversible,” I say that kind of thing is trying to fight the Streisand Effect, but in the context of equality and rights
Good luck to any idiots dumb enough to try.
Those in charge of protecting us are not even trying AND lying on top of it. That “head in the sand, everything will be all right” shit gets you fucked in the ass. I don’t trust these bumbling boobs to do anything right, because they’ve already proven that they can’t.
eh don’t worry, there’s loads of suspected cases, there was one in my borough, and apparently the doctors and nurses starting panicking and running away saying they didn’t wanna die and shit lol
honestly i dont think the government and cdc would allow a “population control” people would riot, it’d create hysteria, rioting, etc etc, mostly a state government powers want to avoid, still doesn’t stop me keeping 6ft away from everyone i walk past and avoiding public transport like the plague
One silver lining is that at least there’s the “I told ya so.” moment one can have with anyone who wasn’t taking this shit seriously before. You could see right away with the dumbass decision to start bringing infected people over here that this was truly the beginning of something terrible that was destined to get out of control. It’s only going to get much, much worse. Like with most things in this world, there really isn’t much of a happy ending to expect here…the only question is how bad will things get…what degree of “fucked up” are we to expect here… I’d say we’re lucky if it just rises to the level of “eh, not quite as bad as your average viral outbreak movie” with only several thousand dying here instead of millions of people. This is what you get when incompetent people are the ones making important decisions and then outright lying about how potentially fucked up the results can be.
For those of you that are paranoid, I was informed by a source that someone had ebola in NYC and that the government might plan to quarantine the entire city.
I lol’d until later today, when I got a message from the DoT that they are changing the speed limit in NYC from 30 to 25.
