I don’t know why people are suprised that the American teams got killed at SBO.
If anyone’s been watching the FFA matches and say, matches from KSK and RX’s site, you’ll see a huge disparity in how they play their matches:
The Japanese, overall, play smarter/safer, does less mistakes and are relentless once they rush down.
They know their characters and their matchups all too well; they are just on another level.
It’s not an easy thing to accept, but it’s true.

From what I understand, it’s a really huge sum of money. This is extremely important, since pretty much all their other tournaments don’t give out cash prizes due to their thinking that how we do tournaments is similar to gambling, but SBO is a corporate sponsored event.
