Sorry, can’t have everything in your home state all the time. I’m sure the East Coast players were a bit sick of coming out to California, for once California is required to come here.
Besides, the format is set this way to avoid having someone carry the other two players. That’s definitely not how we want this represented, we want the best three players.

As far as things to do in the city, as DreamTR said, there is Snooker’s Billiards down the street from the venue. They have a bar, billiards, arcade cabs, and go-karts. Info below:

Jason Wilson, a few questions! For ST qual should you lose the first tournament are you charcter locked for the remaining tournaments (assuming your going to enter all 3 since the general idea is to go to japan with that character)
What is a general number that would make the tournament single game?
Also to anyone that knows what does a ticket price to japan look like around this time of year?

Jeron, yes, character locked after the first tournament, so if Joe Smith wins with OG Sagat, OG Sagat is banned, but not NEW Sagat.
Second tournament Mike Smedley wins with New T. Hawk, OG Sagat and NEW T.Hawk are banned for the last tournament.
Now here’s the kicker…that rule I am subject to “bending” because if you can qualify with the same character, it’s going to really be between you and the teammates to see who picks that character for the team stuff for Japan…
Like, if 3 Chun Players win the three tournaments they would have to figure out amongst themselves who they are using each BEFORE SBO…the reason I am subject to bending this is because I am going to put it to a vote amongst the players…
Oh, and this just in…winner of the ST arcade tournament on Saturday (this one coming up on the 3rd) not only gets free entry into one of the ST tourneys, but also gets free bye into SEMIFINALS of the winners brackets at SBO quals on the 24th…
