SBO Prediction

SBO is taking place this Friday…it is the biggest Fighting Tournament in Japan…Make your prediction now.

The format is a very different from EVO. It is 2 on 2. Single Elimination(No winner/loser brackets). I don’t know which block will play which block. I heard it is random. As for “Last Chance Block”, it is basically for anyone who is not on this list and we won’t know what team it will be until the tourney actually starts. Just put “Last Chance Block” if you want them in your prediction otherwise put both player’s name in the following format:

**Result:

Too many sagat’s for any of the Giefs or Honda’s to do well. Best of 1 means viper has a ton of potential to take the tournament with her bag full of tricks. Underdogs this tournament imo are Bonchan, Kirisuto and Akimo.

C-2 Block - Ii Hara (DH) / Shizuoka Saikyo (BL)

i want them to win, but who is ii hara and is he any good compared to say iyos sim?

Aw man I can’t believe I’m not gonna be able to see any of this. I’d even pay for the stream good lord. It’s like not being able to see your favorite team play in the Super Bowl.

Grand Final Winner (3 Pts)

  1. B-4 Block - Mago (SG) / Nemo (CH)

Nuki and Nemo have been getting better and better. It’s been a while since I’ve seen a chun win something. I think the time has come.

Edit: Didn’t know there were US teams, cali and cfiend will be a real contender (don’t miss the FFFs again cfiend lol). I still gotta be biased towards the chuns though.

arrr I want a live stream of this!!!

Is the DVD the official DVD the only footage of the play that will be available of SBO?

Any idea how long after the tournament is over the DVD will be available?

they should really go the Evo route: stream + HD matches to pay for

sucks that we don’t really have a community link with the SBO organizers… there’s certainly demand for SBO content both live and HD recordings (fuck DVDs!)

Is this ranked in order or just top 8/2/1?

Am I crazy for putting an American team in top 8? We shall see…

I just want 3 points. Mago/Nemo = win

Uryo and Umezono taking it all. Umeso and Dashio for second and Mago’s team losing first round to Iyo and Shiro.

I think the Sagat players have a good safeguard by teaming with Chun. M Yasuda from the Hard clan is actually a really good player. I’m not sure how his Sagat partner is, but as long as he doesn’t miss uppercuts then they should be set. Emillio (Ken) + Denpa (Sagat) is also very strong and a team to look out for, they’ll cause some upsets because they aren’t well known.

Aside from the usual suspects, Eita and Maeda Taison looks like an extremely strong team. Maeda Taison OCV’d a team of Nike (equal or better Rufus than Kindevu?), Uryo (Viper), and Cygnus (Sagat). He plays extremely solid. His partner is an Akuma player, which gives him good coverage…and he plays solid enough.

Finally, I think Mizoteru’s team has a possibility of taking out top dogs too. He plays a damn near perfect Blanka, as good as it gets.

Final 8 teams (1 Pt each)

  1. Daigo (RY) / Nuki (CH)
  2. Umezono (BI) / Uryo (VI)
  3. Nemo (CH) / Mago (SA)

  1. Daigo (RY) / Nuki (CH)
  2. Umezono (BI) / Uryo (VI)

Grand Final Winner (3 Pts)

  1. Daigo (RY) / Nuki (CH)

Order doesn’t matter…as long as they’re top 8/2/1

Haha…all I want to say is…anything can happen…it’s just 1 match

Grand Final Winner (3 Pts)
1)Mago (SG) / Nemo (CH)

In Daigo We Trust.

Grand Final Winner

  1. Daigo / Nuki

Daigo fanboys ftw!

Ok here my predictions

Chari (Blanka) is a very good player, he reminds me daigo but with Blanka cause he seems know very well a lot of matchup.

Tokido (Akuma) is for me the best between Momochi and him. He losed before momochi but he show some new tricks and trap. I think he take more risk than momochi so its why he lose before him. and gouki rape Sagat everytime he see him

Justin Wong (BA) is a very good balrog player, before even the evo final, have already noticed that. And with only 2 balrog in the tougeki, i think others team will have hard time to adapt. Unfortunately Marn is playing Viper now so i don’t know if his rufus is always good…

Madana (Za) is a very good zangief, he knows a lot of tricks and like Balrog, not a lot of Zangief in tougeki.

Final 8 teams (1 Pt each)

  1. Laugh (RY) / Madana (ZA)
  2. Mago (SG) / Nemo (CH)
  3. Iyo (DH) / Shiro (AB)
  4. Daigo (RY) / Nuki (CH)
  5. Ojisan Boy (SG) / Tokido (AK)
  6. Umezono (BI) / Uryo (VI)
  7. Chari (BL) / Kouji (ZA)
  8. Justin Wong (BA) / Marn (RU)

2 Finalist teams (2 Pts each)

  1. Iyo (DH) / Shiro (AB)
  2. Ojisan Boy (SG) / Tokido (AK)

Grand Final Winner (3 Pts)

  1. Iyo (DH) / Shiro (AB)

I’m a little sad no el fuerte are in the tougeki right now.

For the last chance qualifiers, if sabin arturo is in, i think he have a good shot to be in the top 8 and maybe more.

For me abel and dhalsim are the best characters in this game cause they have some mixups who counter option select easily.

Top 4 is

  1. Chari (BL) / Kouji (ZA)
  2. Ojisan Boy (SG) / Tokido (AK)
  3. Iyo (DH) / Shiro (AB)
  4. Daigo (RY) / Nuki (CH)
