Gala North is a shell of its former self right now. They have approximately seven fighters as of right now. Two of them are on an mvs cabinet. All the machines are broken or close to it. The best game they have is MVC2 as they don’t have the comp necessary to play the other as they are not flashy enough to attract (they have kof 94 if that helps). That place survives solely on DDR/ITG right now.
I have not been to Gala West in awhile, but its much better then Gala North right now (at least in game variety they have X-men the 6 player beatemup). Fighters there either have broken sticks or broken screens but they have more fighters then Gala North so thats a plus. Alas, we come to the point were I tell you their is no comp their and call this post closed.
Is it to hard to install sanwas or seimitsus in American cabs?

You have to redo the whole panel, so yeah, it’s not worth it unless you have a standard Japanese cabinet already.

MightyMar: You guys complain a lot about Chicago’s lack of stuff, but I wish we had an arcade here with 7 fighters in Nashville. THis place is a dead zone. I had to PUT machines in a laundromat/pool hall just so I can say we have fighting games in this city somewhere.

Last year we got 18 teams in the 2 on 2 and I would love either doing another 2 on 2 or possibly a 3 on 3.

Humbag, the TBA slots are all planned already actually with games. There will be a team tourney in 3s as well as the regular one, already in the plans since it was so widely popular…

Perhaps this is why only 6 games this year? If so…awesome!
