If you’re talking about TGA, they use Sanwa…but if you’re talking about SBO, I have no idea. Good luck on the SBO qualifiers!
not unless someone pulls a ‘LUCKY CHARMS!!’ victory on them! believe me… it can happen… unless it’s best of 3 matches… 99% guaranteed pyro’ll take it…
To clarify,
I was wrong the first time about Seimitsu’s being in the majority of 3S/CVS2 cabinets. Most arcades use Sanwa, actually, but Seimitsu’s are used at the major 3S arcades like Newton and Vision use, so I thought most arcades used them for those games, but I found out that is the exception and not the rule.
At first I couldn’t tell which was which except by how it felt, and a few arcades that I thought used Seimitsu’s were actually just looser Sanwa’s. They felt WAY different than my HRAP1, which has a Sanwa in it, so I though they were definitely Seimitsu’s. Anyway, I found out via a Web site about the difference between the black circles that cover up the hole for the joystick to move around, and I can use that now to verify exactly when a Sanwa and when a Seimitsu is being used. Sanwa’s have the rigid disc top while Seimitsu’s have a smooth disc top.
At the first SBO qualifier in Tokyo this past weekend, the sticks were Sanwa’s, but this was probably just how the game center had them to begin with. I imagine that Vision’s qualifier will be on Seimitsu’s, since it’s what they have already, etc. The difference is really really small and will only bother a few people.
Oh I see ur just ignorant. Poor noob.
Good job… I knew for sure cvs2 was sanwa (i asked Buk also) but since i dont play 3S i didnt know about that… untill they told Andy. The sbo staff told Andy both sticks would be fine for quals but TGA will be using all Sanwa.
that’s all i wanted to know man. thx
If someone is willing to pay for my roundtrip ticket from LAX to RI then I’ll go and compete at the EC quals.
hmmm, was there a plan to pay for said ticket, based on the idea that the qualifier would be teams? If that were true your position makes a lot more sense.
If it were teams justin, ricky, and I would qual for sure. So spending money on a ticket to RI in return for a free ticket to Japan is justified.
However now that it’s singles there is a possibility of one of us not making it. One of us could eliminate a teammate due to bracket circumstances, playing on japanese sticks, etc. I’m not making an excuse for myself, that I won’t qualify, but I don’t want to be on the EC team unless its me justin and ricky.
If someone were to pay for my ticket though, it takes a lot of the risk out of this situation. Otherwise I can qual on the west coast and get a discounted ticket to Japan, thus saving $$$.
Makes sense.
If there are any potential takers, it probably depends a lot on what TGA is planning as far as how many tournaments and what format they are in.
If your close to the FFA side is there any info you can get? Is everything set for the WC side? or is there still something being worked out?
All that I know so far is that it’s gonna be at FFA :looney:
isnt FFA a real arcade? That can’t be right. SBO 2k6 WC Quals are supposed to take place in an unknown random arcade.
Quick question. Did the tougeki staff specifically say that the EC quals need to be ran in single format? Seems kind of strange that all quals in japan are team-based but ours are not.
Sounds fishy, like Japan is trying to sabatage team USA so the Dream Team dosn’t make it. Trying to make somebody important take out somebody important.
I like it, that way it might not be Pyro,Wong,Ricky this time. Damn let somebody else have a chance for a change. Besides who ever we send is gonna DIE. lol
Like what has Pyro and the other two that we love to suck all their cocks learned in a year thats gonna make em win this time?!
Wong throw Kikhoken into super this time with Chun!! Maybe Diago wont parry the fireball:lol:
There is this code that some Ken player named Joe found out to get Chun with 3 sa2’s!!! He might give you the code if you suck his cock who knows.
idiot
Actually we wanted to (in effect) sabotage the tourney so that team DID make it, that was the only reason for a team qualifier, that was good enough for me tho.
Other people HAVE been getting chances all this time, thats why this team was so appealing. But IMO if the format is right it will be a good team. Have to wait and see what TGA decides.
w…t…f…are you talking about?
Pyro, Wong and Ricky have never been on the same team.
Arturo’s sig is pretty accurate. SRK stands for Stupid Retarded Kids.
Dude you better hope that they make it so we can do good at SBO!!!
Justin almost beat Diago moron! Ricky almost beat him the year before if judgement was ruled in. And Pyro IS Yun!!
Outro
justin, ricky, pyrolee IS the best chance!!!
