I actually really respect the decision not to stream. Not that anyone cares what I think. But it makes perfect sense to me. We all get to see hours of SF4 streamed for free, but they probably paid Daigo a lot to fly him to fucking Ohio for this event and seeing it is definitely a big incentive to get out to a tourney.
Wish I could make it myself but the timing is just not good for me. Good luck to all of my friends who are competing! Level the eff up.
I know a lot of people aren’t going to agree with or care about what I have to say, but I hope you’ll at least read this anyway.
I am very disappointed about no stream for the main event. I am an 18 yr old student in CA who can’t fly to Ohio for this event because of money and health problems( it’s a struggle to go to school). I’m not saying “Oh, do a stream for poor, sick me!” I just wish that I, someone who genuinely loves playing and watching street fighter, could enjoy this event like the fortunate people who are able to make it out to the venue. But I am deemed unworthy instead.
I will still watch and of course enjoy what you do decide to stream. I am grateful for that. I can only hope you’ll reconsider you decision to not stream another, lets face it, historic bout between Justin and Daigo.
I know my personal two cents don’t mean much in this topic. And I know your decision will not be swayed in any direction by one person. I just wanted to express this matter from my point of view.
You’ll still get to see them fight in the top 8 and there’s a DVD coming. This isn’t the last time something historic between Daigo and J.Wong or anyone else will happen. I could understand if you guys sitting at home still didn’t get to see them fight…but you basically will any ways.
i dont understand why they dont show the daigo vs jwong match. thats the biggest match dont they want a large amount of viewers?? also how come only daigo comes overseas??
ggs tonight dudes. Cya tomorrow. I’m the guy with the NES stick, long hair, and a beard. I’d love to get some casuals/small MMs (tentative) in ST.
Also, if anybody feels like showing me the ropes in whatever game they hold dear that I haven’t played yet, I’ll give it a try. I challenge you to get me into a game other than ST!
No, Daigo isn’t the only one who goes overseas. The Japanese have been coming to Evo for years but apparently this year they took a break and only Daigo and his buddy Dan came. The thing is if Daigo didn’t win the World Exhibition, chances are no Japanese would have came.
My guess is Daigo is being sponsored to come to SB4. If not for that I don’t think you’ll see him or any Japanese come to the US for a tournament unless it was Evo.
Hello there, I’m Hitstun. I’m the guy with the Arcade-In-A-Box stick that played HDR with the other Columbus people from 10:30pm to close. I have work Friday night and I have Road Runner being installed at my house Saturday afternoon, so I’ll be missing most of the tournaments I want to play, but I’m down for HDR and any casuals or side tournaments that happen. I’m not exactly hype about the crowds we’re going to have Friday and Saturday, but it should be fun late at night and on Sunday.
As the localcamwhore, I hope this ustream.tv feed goes well. I’m totally fine with the main event not being broadcast, as the epic battle will be worth the trip for everyone who traveled out here to see it. I hope the framerate problems from Evo and Bar Fights are solved this time. ALWAYS use “low quality - highest framerate” or whatever the H.264 equivalent is. This is how I’m going to be watching the action I’ll have to miss, so make it good!
