If you didnt pre register, unfortunately this is a possibility. Get there early and it shouldn’t be a problem. The fact that there won’t be anyone allowed in without paying the Venue charge will help this A LOT!
So if you did pre-register and God forbid you came in a bit late (not later than when the tournament was suppose to start but later than when the venue opens) you are guaranteed to be allowed into the venue?
I’m hoping Finals start at noon or at the very latest early afternoon. Dreading having to drive back late at night when I’m exhausted and sleepy. 
Anybody else staying at the University Plaza Hotel? I want to get some casuals in before tomorrow.

Quick few questions for the Tourney Organizers…
Can my bro and I (I would spectate, he would play in the HDR Tourney) Paypal the walk-in/late registration + venue fee tonite? We didn’t think we would be able to make it, but we wont have to be in Vegas this weekend to close escrow for a secondary property…so, our schedule freed up. Assuming it is ok (please send the grand the total and we will include special payment note that it was for 1 spec & 1 entrant), we would certainly bring the Paypal receipts. Obviously we would have loved to just simply show up early on Fri, but if we’re able to catch a flight (based on your reply) we wont be arriving in Columbus till midnight.

The online reg is closed, sadly and will likely remain that way. Best bet is to get here early Saturday and get it taken care of. I know you’re getting in late Friday, but thats the best that can be done. If you’re here Friday night, come to the venue and reg then.

If you only started to make the effort now, yes, everyone else had months to make plans and pre-reg to be certain of a spot. I’m sure people are busy and can’t check this forum for months, but those people SHOULD at the same time understand it’s first come first serve. Unless of course someone is willing to pay the possible fine(s) of breaking firecodes.
I really can’t believe some of the arguments going back still. We ALL UNDERSTAND YOUR POINTS FOR WANTING THE STREAM. You really don’t have to explain to us what you think are good methods of expanding the community. If you really cared about “expanding the community”, you should be encouraging people to come to this event even though you can’t come. OR BETTER YET, try to expand it YOURSELF. I don’t see how not streaming the main event will deter people from playing sf4, it sounds like a wack ass excuse for someone wanting to see the fight without being there or buying the DVD. I would love every weekly tourney from everywhere to be streamed too if I wasn’t attending, and I don’t even play SF4. But I would also love a LOT of other stuff that is NOT AVAILABLE to me. It’s really just that simple, it is NOT AVAILABLE UNLESS YOU ATTEND. Some of you think we are alienating you personally. That’s not the case, you’re just too late to the party. These announcements have been up for so long. How can you possibly think it’s anyone else’s fault but your own? Also how can you possibly think that they can just SCREW EVERYONE WHO WENT FOR THE SOLE PURPOSE OF JUSTIN/DAIGO. I know some of you are not dedicated enough to go, which is why this is a GIFT TO THOSE WHO ARE. It is that simple. You don’t have to agree, just understand you are wrong if you think otherwise.

If that second part was directed at me I never ever, stated that I was upset that is wasn’t being streamed. I was just stating that it would be very sucky to drive that far, get a hotel, get all the way up there and show up to the venue to be told they are at capacity and I am turned away. Even though I made the effort to get transportation out there, rented a hotel, etc. did all the things you are encouraging everyone to do in order to support the venue and the event but I’m turned away? I mean it’s one thing because I have a eight plus hour drive but what about someone whose flight gets delayed and arrive a little bit before the tournament starts and is told they cannot come in? They made the effort to make it out there which is a whole lot more than someone sitting around not doing anything demanding for a stream yet the end result is they don’t get to see the fight, nor enter the venue, so in the end they are in the same boat as someone who didn’t do anything and just sat at home not supporting the venue. That’s why I was wondering if you did pre-register and showed up a little a little bit before the tournament starts if they still let you in even if they are at capacity since you did pre-register.

It was only directed to those who feel that way, if you don’t feel that way then I don’t think that about you. Although I feel your pain with the chance that you could be turned away, and it would be very sucky. They simply can’t break the fire code, hence the first come first serve. If you pre-reg’ed they will have room for you, period, especially if you know you will be late and you let someone know. I’m sure you understand that. If anyone drove or flew out without pre-reg regardless of distance…being turned away is an assumed risk. So be glad you asked if you didn’t pre reg yet, it might be too late to even spectate in person. =]
