No matter what the match will hit youtube eventually. Do the ppl who stream this really believe that ppl are so impatient that they will pay hundreds of dollars on a plane flight just to see what they know they will see eventually ? what they are doing is stupid regardless of what u say about the money they would make more money next time showing everyone the whole thing, more ppl would bound to be interested in going. Their alienating the ones who had no idea, or don’t have the money to travel down there for no reason at all.
Can we get a post that answers questions like “what can I do if I didn’t pre-reg and show up?” or anything else that’s actually pertinent to the tournament? After that post is made can this thread be locked? It’s honestly degraded into a non stop cycle of me/Havoc/Doctor vs unknown > 1 year SRK member crybaby whiner where’s my stream?
That or let’s erase all posts going all the way back to Skinoic’s post a few pages back and close it.

Who are we alienating? You guys are going to be glued to the stream no matter what. People were glued to the Devastation and Evo streams and they had nothing this hype. This all happened last minute so there isn’t the time or resources for a pay per view stream or any of that (MAYBE NEXT YEAR). Which basically means the only other way to get you to support this year is to pay up and come out. Obviously not everyone can do that and for those that can’t…you get to watch 3 days worth of SFIV and other games hosted professionally for free. I’m sorry if this is some sort of an issue.
As long as I can see that new TvC build and MvC2 hype Im good.

If you show up and aren’t pre-reged, ther IS a possibility you won’t be allowed in. This will occur if the building is in fire code violation, due to crowding. At this time, I dont know how poissible that is. However, my recommendation to you is if you’re NOT registered already to be there bright and early. If you get a badge, you’ll be allowed in the door.

yes of course its an issue lol and as for nagata who cares about when u joined SRK ? this forum is information to me and not something i visited before SFIV. anyhow yes its an issue is it going to be recorded at all put on a dvd put on youtube how is this match getting out to other people other than just those who attend ? i understand that this happened last minute but cmon if there was a stream for anything EVER in the history of streaming this is definitly one of those things and efforts should have been made to provide that

Yeah it’ll be a good idea to stream the special event…NEXT YEAR. This one is for the tourney goers. Everyone else has to wait for the DVD or just watch the Super Bowl in 4 months time. They will get to see Daigo vs. J.Wong on the stream either way this weekend any ways.
I agree and I think the general consensus will speak for itself. The community is the community regardless of when someone registered on SRK forums. The fact that you’re merited by when you registered kind of preemptively goes to show that issues are hardly met with a measure of civility here. On that note I do want to thank SB associates for putting it on. I hope you’ll do the right thing and leave the stream on at the behest of everyone being that you’ve gone through the trouble to set it up to begin with. I think you’ll see that everyone will stand to benefit.
I see a lot of people with reasonable and humble statements being squashed out by vulgar responses that don’t even deal with the issue. So I’m gonna take my leave. I hope you guys do the right thing come Saturday and keep that stream on for the exb.

The reason people get harassed coming into the scene as new people is simply because ya’ll say a lot of dumb stuff that isn’t representative or sensical to those who have been here and been through the same stuff. There is definitely a true difference between the community that sits at their house and the community that comes out and this time the community that comes out gets rewarded just a little bit more. Next year… I would assume we will be better prepared to take care of you sitting on your couch eating your chicken wings. You’ll have to pay something…but you will be taken care of.
