Just a few days after confirming with Daigo that he’s in, I found out from my work that I’ll be in Tokyo on business for the next few months, so I’m not even gonna make it to SB4. :sad:

Well comparing it with other venues I would say it’s worth it. Final Round 08 was about the same venue price and it took place in a large empty conference room which charged for spectators. MOMO’s has (good) food, beer, etc. Plus it’s in an outlet area surrounded by a bunch of other food places. The place is nice.

To people bitching about Fugee/Ghaleon not getting a bigger venue,
MoMo is like, one of the MAIN reasons Season’s Beatings is as good of a tournament it is. Even if it means turning people away, I would rather have a smaller tournament at MoMo than a bigger one in some random Ohio hotel ballroom.
Some of you Columbus cats should compile a short list of good restaurants in the area. I’m not talking chain restaurants or anything, does Columbus have any unique good stuff?

And to people complaining about no stream, I believe he said there would be a stream for the main tourneys, just not the main event.
So I’m hearing rumors than GG and BB might be delegated to a side tournament. I think that would be a huge mistake for the community considering Ohio BB tournaments are consistently getting 30+ people alone. GG has had a large turnout for the last 3 Season Beatings, regardless of the Marn incident last year, I expect just as many people to show up.
If the reason sb is good is because of the venue, then its not really that good (I doubt this is really one of the main reasons).
good tourney = good players + enough setups/space + hype. This equation can be fulfilled lots of places.
This may be shocking but a lot of people go to tourneys to play games and don’t need a plethora of other shit to keep them entertained.
I would rather go to a bigger tourney at some random ohio hotel ballroom that could run all the games people want, than suffer standing room only just to watch a made up rivalry between jwong and daigo.
