SB4: NEW CRACK CITY- DAIGO VS. JUSTIN! Oct. 16-18, 2009 - Columbus, OH

AND just to make this even more epic I just found out that VDO will be in attendance aswell…HOLY SHIT! GET HYPE YALL!!

LOL yeah Chris, Rob, Nick yall foos did the impossible this year man great job fellas.

…^^^^^^WAT UP VDO…u gonna b down for CVS2 CASUALS…???

I think I totally forgot to reserve hotel! I better do that today…

I’m actually a little scared MoMo’s is too small a venue for this. This is bigger than big. Maybe we should rent out Nationwide area lol

But seriously, I’m running/playing UMK3 and aiming to tame The Beast in SFIV. P2W baby.

I don’t see how it could be too small. There’s enough space and I don’t think all of the space they could have used was used last time. They’ll find a way to make it work. If they have to they can just take every game but SFIV and Marvel off the list.

BTW I’ll be surprised if the Daigo announcement doesn’t bring some West Coast cats out too.

im in there

Fugee’s got the layout planned out, no worries on that. Part of why we’re doing pre-reg and capping walk-ins is also to manage space concerns.

Nice.

I’m not sure how far Daigo can get in this tourney considering that there will be console characters now… one of our tops will surely try to counterpick him with a console character. But I’m really interested in how things are going to turn out.

There were console characters at Evo, and he did pretty decent there…

Man, I’ll say! :wgrin:

fail

did you sleep through evo

Daigo didn’t play any of those console characters though and I doubt he bought a ps3 to practice or something. He’s gonna get owned hard when people start using console chars lol.

Yea, because I doubt he can figure how to beat Gouken or Rose.

I understand that just having “Daigo” in the thread title means all the SRK stay-at-homes are gonna jump in acting like they’re designated Capcom analysts –

But if you think Daigo is going to lose to random console characters or you have some other absurd YouTube-jockey comment, **just bet it **or don’t bother posting. I doubt most people saying shit like that are tournament travelers anyway, lol, so just ignore them so this thread doesn’t turn into one of those “pro or con” Daigo threads.

Capping players is always a bad idea, it means you should have gotten a bigger venue. Frankly, at 25$ a head, even for spectators (not even evo did that), you could afford to rent a dedicated space.

Owned by who? You know he’s already practicing against console characters after what happened at Evo. He’s not going to come unprepared like he and Dan did at Evo. Plus to top it off none of the console characters are better than Ryu so if Daigo has any solid gameplan against the console characters they’re done. Americans trying to pull that quick shit only works for so long.

Never been a better time to be living in O-hype-o!

its not about getting a bigger venue eventhough space is a factor but its also the quality of it. The WSOP even turns ppl away who are paying a 10k fee. Capping is not set in stone so push come to shove we will rock back to back 15hr days to finish. BTW where does it say spectators have to pay $25?

Also, why else besides space would you cap players? Quality? All that a tournament needs is space, machines, and people to run it. Everything else is extraneous.

EDIT: Also, this isn’t intended to be snarky, but what exactly is all this “worth the venue fee” that keeps being mentioned? Daigo v Justin? That’s great, but since it apparently comes at the expense of casuals, side games, and breathing space, I’m not sure there’s a net gain. If more players would rather have the chance to watch a hype match than actually play something maybe I’m wrong. EVO had tons of special events, and they didn’t need to subsidize anyone showing up there either.
