Its not like its a big deal I learned the Fei match up like after 2 games when I first played online.
Great finals, great play from Daigo and Justin as expected, although it really was obvious that Justin’s Fei Long was incomplete. That said, I think Daigo would have won anyway because IMO he is just the superior player right now. Not that Justin isn’t amazing of course. Even after Daigo adapted, Justin still had him fighting for those rounds.
I wonder if Justin will consider picking up Fei Long more seriously after this. Wishful thinking, probably. heh…
I don’t think it was Justin. I heard the commentators say that, and heard them say something about someone sitting in Daigo’s line of vision (during Justin’s ultra combo, so probably no effect on the game). An audience member probably got too hype.
Clearly Daigo was going for FA , F+Hp, c FP, SRK which is a 1 frame link. That is why he whiffed a few times.

I am sure that neither Mago or Uryo or whoever else from Japan would of won.I am sure that Mago’s Sagat would of been crushed by Justin’s Long.Mago biggest strength is that he’s an execution god who’s gonna punish you 99,9% of the time with his upper into FADC into kick+ultra,but he can’t adapt that fast imo.He’s more like a student of the game,while Daigo is a natural genius at adapting and he will also punish you 99,9% of the time.
Not only that,there’s just something that is phenomenal about how Daigo play his Ryu.You know his tricks and combos,but there’s just no way to freaking dodge them.How many time do we see his opponents jumping above a fireball only to be hit by the super or the dreaded uppercut into ultra?
