Saulabi thread

That stick looks nice, I want one of the cases just for the awesome logo!

I don’t see anyone saying anything specifically about the SCS-2000 for pc. Does anyone know how it compares to the Black and White Online sticks?

What I know is: Mainly colour and age, the SCS-2000 is an older model.

Can you say that the SAULABI thing on PC USB will feel close to the professional fighters that are used to Happ competition sticks?I took a HRAP3, put in Sanwas, I hate the stick after a year of play, put in Seimitsu LS-32, a little better, but I cannot play on 2P side with it.Also, the european distributor saulabi.nl doesnt open in Internet Explorer…

laugh i dont no if u remember me from evo, but i happened to notice u had a cool lookin korean stick with a nice square shape, not ugly like these saulabai sticks where did u get it, and could u put a pic of it online.

this? http://s59.photobucket.com/albums/g308/k-kowal/Joystick/CLW302/

+rep to whoever gets me the dimensions :lovin:

Whoever got a Saulabia and put a fanta in there, does it feel a little bit off? I have some troubles some times doing tekken movements with it, as compared with another case I own.
It seems like it needs to be another quarter inch up or so, as if the stick is too far down.

MCP i have a medium stiffness fanta inside the saulabi case it feels fine for me , i think having it inside wood feels better plastic feels abit hallow and it makes more noise inside the saulabi case

Here’s 1 match me playing on the fanta inside saulabi case

Does anybody know how to change the bat-tops for Fantas? There is no screw at the bottom of the shaft like the Sanwa and Seimitsu sticks.

On a side note, I finally broke in my Fanta(s) and am loving them even more! It’s like a whole new class of stick…

‘laugh’ coming through once again! That’s kind of interesting that the bat-top is connected directly to the shaft.

BTW, the reason I’m asking is because I’m going to try out the medium stiffness Myoungshin for a while in order to break it in.

Template for Saulabi SPS-1000
Can someone please double check the correctness of the image?

Can somebody please make this Corel Draw file into a more common vectorized image?
I think djfrijoles would be very happy with it.

looks kinky.

laugh, i need to speak with you sir. pm sent.

Is 203A or 203C one of Crown’s flagship buttons? The best of the best quality buttons you can find for a K-stick?

I’m thinking of purchasing the fake wood one. Even though it’s quality is not up to par compared to Salubi, I prefer the wooden look better.

I’m thinking of modding it as well. Replace the stock fanta with a myoungshin fanta medium stiffness and all of the stock buttons as well. I was thinking of replacing the stock buttons with sanwas but if crown’s quality is similar to sanwas, then I’ll give crown buttons a try.

Also, mr. laugh, I sent you a PM. I hope it’s not much of a trouble if you could buy the actual thing and mod it for an extra fee including manual labor and time.

what size connectors do i need to solder the 203A buttons? it is EXTREMELY hard to bend these contacts correctly and truly not worth the risk or time.

i would have to buy these connectors offline i suppose? i would love to get them around town somewhere

I much prefer the button layout on these Saulabi sticks to traditional Japanese style. My main issue with other sticks is that the buttons are slanted to the right, when my natural hand placement seems to better fit them being slanted to the left. My Pelican Universal Arcade has a layout very similar to this, which I am currently modifying and may consider buttons like these.

Has anyone tried modding a Saulabi with Happ Competition Buttons? I know the Crowns are 28mm, and I think the Happs are about the same size. I recently gutted an older broken Saulabi, and was considering purchasing some Happ buttons, along with a Cthulhu PCB, to bring it back to life.

P.S. Has anyone tried swapping out the stick for a Sanwa or Seimitsu?
