Saulabi thread

Is there an Xbox 360 Saulabi?

do the PC sticks work solely for the PC? i’m looking for one that would work with the PS3 and the PC. I’m actually quite interested in these Korean sticks and would love to give them a try. I’m from Canada, specifically Toronto. Do you guys know any sites or places that ship here or sell locally?

No, but you can tack one on to a Hori or Madcatz.

I just recently bought the Saulabi 4k, it’s okay for a stock stick but not the best. I use it to play SFIV and I find it misses the diagonals frequently, so the blocking is an issue. The stick feel is good but the buttons seem very cheap quality. I want to mod it and from reading these threads LAUGH seems to be the guy supplying the parts…
Can you recommend buttons and stick please? I need the parts to be delivered to Dubai, the gaming industry is weak here, nobody supplies anything…
I grew up playing in North American arcades so I’d like the parts to simulate that experience as much as possible (i.e. bat top). Also prefer the stick to ‘click’, I don’t like the rubber feel, any Korean joysticks that do that…
This is my first post, apparently I need 5 posts to PM anyone…any alternatives to contacting laugh or should I just post 5 non-sensical posts…
Thanks all…

Thanks Laugh I’m almost at 5 posts…I really need those parts…suddenly I can’t to fireballs anymore…I think the stick is broke…

Will Happ parts fit in the Saulabi, assuming the Naki Ultimate Fighting Stick is the same?

I’m concerned about the depth of the buttons rather than the diameter.

Have you ever seen/done this before Laugh ? I want some ideas to mess around with.

ps2 SAULABI works on PS3 and pc

hi i got a saulabi for ps2 and igot and adaptor were u cane put two ps2 controls int it

my adaptor got a letter for slot 1 and 2
so ITS A and B

So to make it work on the pc you put first the adaptor in and it will be recognice by the pc
then u put the A PS1 OR PS2 control in THE B slot
and seee if your control works
then put your saulabi
and normally it will be working

i played mame games with it and it works great

do the same with ps3

Do you know if they used the saulabi pcb or did they put a cthulhu board in?

Does anyone know if its possible to dual mod it with a common ground 360 controller and an imp with the original pcb?. Im thinking hard about doing this but im weighing up the costs. If I have to buy a new pcb I probably wont bother.

Cheers

Hi guys,

I’m currently modding a SPS-1000 Saulabi and I noticed that the 28mm diameter for holes won’t allow to install japanese buttons but the sanwa microswitches SW-68 fit the original saulabi buttons:

The feel is definitely nicer but most importantly this means you can reuse the stock buttons

While I was at it, I took a shot of the panel and vectorized the result:

Anyone considered putting modelling clay at the bottom of the Saulabi case to add weight. I tried doing that and it works pretty well, just remove the metal plate and apply some underneat it, then screw it back on. You can also add some around the metal plate. Just make sure you dont put too much above the level of the metal plate so that the pcb doesn’t comes in contact with it. Although I’m not aware that modelling clay may oxidize or not the pcb circuits or wires.

With this mod, I can easily leave the Saulabi on my lap and use the joystick without having to stabilize the whole unit.

On a table, I recommend putting the Saulabi on a mousepad to avoid gliding on smooth surfaces.

Hi there so i got the saulabi online and the impresion is.Its absolutly sweet. The driver was automaticaly recognized by my windows XP and i understand that korean profile setup pretty well too.I put the saulabi right to the test with Killer Instinct 2 and i was absolutly astonish about the use of this stuff.Like in a arcade room.I was doing the half circles, half circles forward, etc.like on arcade machine years ago.The buttons are also great pretty responsive but kinda feel cheap.Probably they will run of as the first. But the joystick is great.Probably will stand my hardcore gaming one year. Now i am playing only on pc KI2,Guilty Gear XX and some MAME32 stuff like samurai showdown, world heroes.I will make a full video review of the saulabi in english for youtube after i got the SF4.I am so horny for that:D.
But i got one problem and thats from my desk i cant stabilize the saulabi becouse it moves to much on the desk. The mousepad doesnt help i got the roccat sense its too smooth. Now i use my keybord to stabilize it. There is a lether bend for hand on it(Microsoft Reclusa keybord). So i put it on it but it moves a little bit now also. Can anyone help how to solve this problem? The saulabi is owesome for its prize no doubt.I paid 80 euros fot it becouse the shipping was very expensive to slovakia. But the modding options are also great and i hope laugh will support us with the parts a long time.

Hey,

Laugh is there any possibility to send me the finished stick with the Stick an the buttons? Coz i dont know how to solder the things…dont know how to say… im just a technical noob.

Great News Laugh :))
Can u pm me how much money u’ll need for the stick?
Im very very interested coz the Stick of my Hori FS3 really sucks…

I strongly recommend laugh’s mod work - personal experience.

F**K I hope I haven’t trashed that box I threw them in!

Yeah dude im really excited about the Fanta Stick and cant wait to use ist

I can vouch for laugh. He modded my fake wood k-stick last year.

He took out the stock joystick and replaced it with a Myoungshin Fanta - medium stiffness and also replaced the whole stock buttons with Crown 203a snap-in buttons.

laugh is the man! Excellent service too!

Damn this one is looking good!!!

Laugh where are u??? i want to order this stick asap
Need practice till t6 comes out
