@Jeet I don’t disagree with you about ric being nuts, but I’ve never met you in person either to the best of my knowledge, so you’re threat of not attending doesn’t seem to mean much if you don’t attend anyway. Furthermore half of rics responses are directed at you. Even if you’re not wrong by constantly flaming ric you’re just keeping this thread off topic. For the good of the thread, could you just ignore him?

I don’t know how much of this thread you’ve read by Ric has only addressed me a couple times. Its nowhere close to half. If the only way we can get him out is if everyone made a pact to ignore everything he says, and that he’s not welcome at events, I’d be down. Until then I’ll continue to point out exactly why he needs to be removed.
Its only a few pages back where I introduced myself. I haven’t been here long. I am one of the players new to the community who would be completely put off by showing up to an event with that psychopath. Imagine how many more there are who didn’t even bother to speak up about it.
How about this then, I’ll come if his denial of entry is guaranteed. I guarantee I won’t if it isn’t. My friends and I already get together and play, I don’t need to pay 15$ to spend an evening with a wastrel I wouldn’t be caught dead with just so I can say I’m better than people.
You could just show up to other meets.

This thread went months without my input and you barely said a word. It wasn’t until I posted here that you suddenly became so vocal. Now regardless if your somebody else or not I’ll say this once and and move on…if you wanna come to the tournament then come but don’t use me as a excuse and plz stop talking about how you won’t come every other post because every time you make a post that addresses why your not going we end up getting derailed. If I’m that big of a disturbance to you then put me on ignore…problem solved.
Banning you repeatedly doesn’t get you to fuck off, why would ignoring you work? In a few days you’ll get banned again, then you’ll make another account, and we’ll be back to square one.
If you recall I actually asked about online play before I realized how god awful it was here, and asked about meet ups as well. Now one is taking place, and my friends and I won’t show up because of you.

Evan, you keep saying I’m not invited but forget to mention that I wouldnt want to come regardless. I was aware of your meets for quite awhile but I didn’t make a effort to ever reach out because I wasn’t interested…I left the local meets a good 2 years ago when Dustin was still organizing after all. Not to mention even if I wanted to come it would be pointless because I heard you guys tend to play more obscure non-CAPCOM games anyways.

I’ve said repeatily that I have no interest in meeting up with the existing player base but that I have no issue meeting up wih new people. I have every right to post here becase im interested in the tournament JC announced and you don’t get to decide who can and cant post…it’s not your community.
You mentioned you already have a small community and even host tournaments between you guys…well I recommend sticking to that and leaving this thread and the people who want to help JC in peace.

After much planning and frustration, Saskatoon and neighbouring areas will have a weekly (or Bi-monthly) tournament series. I hope to keep this as a long running event, as it is all for a certain research project that you can message me about if you’d like more info.

Location: Hi-Tech Game Traders (Acadia and 8th Street) Game Room. Saskatoon, SK.
Main Tournaments:
Super Street Fighter 4: Arcade Edition, v2012
Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3
Super Smash Bros. Melee
Prize Distribution:
70%-30%
OR
70%-20%-10% If turnout for the game is greater than 17
Schedule:
Registrations will be from 6:00-6:50 PM
Tournament begins at 7:00 PM. Each game will run at the same time, until they are completed. Finals may be played on the large set up if time permits.
