heh some people use ST to refer to turbo or hyper. Although speaking of ST I do recall fei being near bottom tier which means I was rocking a bottom tier back in the day and winning…this instantly gives me huge rep points!

Fei was suppose to be in hyper but after capcom saw what I could do with him during play testing they removed him!
Also Josh of course that’s why they do it. The only reason top players use low tiers is so they can have a moral victory. Do you think anyone in the Japan scene legitimately respects daigo and mago for always spamming top tiers?
The only reason a player who is serious about tournament play will ever use a low tier is to make statement. I respect vangief for more for using gief then I ever will for someone like Wong who purposefully targets top tier characters.
