That means akuma is useless now, no more mix-ups haha
ME2+ME3 time now but Ill probably take time away from both games to focus on SFXT first. I shouldnt have waited to finish the ME2 DLC so late but oh well.
Edit: Yeah man the monitors could potentially lag, you guys would need to test it beforehand to make sure it all runs well.
Well its kind of mixup based though cause he still uses the demon flips to impose himself. Maybe in SFXT he will be lie his 3s self since I doubt zoning will do much for him this time around.
Yes, that’s called pressure, not mix up. Akuma can always be on the offense in 3s, but his mixup options are basically the same as every other character, high/low/throw. You can’t have a pure mixup game in 3s because outside of supers and some ex moves there are no untechable knockdowns to apply some 5 way guessing game.
He will probably play like most other characters play - footsies based around landing tag combos.
Well I still got a few hours before I play this game and so far hearing everyone talk about how awesome the game is makes my hype for this game super intense!
Looks like chao and dustin are playing this game as well…damn awesome that other sask guys are jumping on this too!
Ha I wish work got canceled today too. It looks like lost planet outside but surprisingly it isn’t cold.
Right now I’m heading over to EB to get sfxt. I’m gonna grind until work…this will be the first time I’ve actually spent training time in a game since I picked up sf4 on it’s release.
I was gonna ask if am one of the only people excited for dat Guilt Gear wide screen online, re release but i know the answer. Then again the onlines gonna be ass anyways.
Im going to main law but he plays nothing like fei and I have a feeling I wont do that well with him…I decided to not use poison since she is so popular which means I have no 2nd. In other words my chances in this game are slim and…
I think I’m going to give the game a while till it’s picked apart a bit more… seems from what I’ve seen like it’ll be totally broke in no time, haha.
Also, walking to school this morning was hilarious. I don’t know why the hell it wasn’t cancelled, but the snow was like a foot deep minimum all the way there and visibility was totally ass.
Probably not picking up my stick until tomorrow or thursday. meh
Hmmm well the game does feel like sf4 quite a bit. It’s not identical but if you were good in sf4 some aspects of your skill should still transfer over. I’m ignoring the team dynamic and combo system for the most part. Im keeping my combos simple and consistent but I’m trying to max out as mug damage as I can from them. I’m basically trying to be as practical and reliable when it comes to the combo system and hopeullfy that’s enough to get me by until I get better with ny spacing.
I’ve played a few ranked matches so far. the connection was bad but it gave me a idea of how the game will work. I won’t really know how effective I am in this game until I fight against the good players like shane or Jamie but so far I’m pretty terrible lol. Law doesn’t feel anything like fei al I’m adjusting the best I can, and cammy is now my secondary because I have no clue who else i can use. I considered vega since he is pretty point and click but I’m not really down with the charge motions. Hopefully we can set up a sask online lobby tonight or something. I’ll be online later and I’ll be in a endless room if anyone is down for that.
So I spent around a hour in training mode and the rest of the day(well the time I had to spare)in ranked/endless battles and to be perfectly honest I hate this game. Not because its a bad game or anything but just because I dont think I can use anyone that effectively in the cast. Law has terrible normals and cant handle pressure at all…especially when cornered. I picked cammy by just sheer random dumb luck during a ranked match and oddly enough im doing decently enough with her but I dont know how long that will last. As it stands I am very doubtful Ill be picking up this game seriously in a competitive sense so more then likely Ill just play it for shits and giggles whenever I can.
I did try picking vega for a few matches and I did "ok"with him. He has the same"point and click"dynamic as fei in respects to his normals but the charge motions kind of threw me off a bit. I might possibly pick him up in the event that cammy or my other character doesnt work out. I noticed he played a bit like his SF4 iteration so it wasnt that much of a adjustment for me. Ill probably need to grind some serious online time with him though if I expect to see any results…man I REALLY WISH FEI WAS IN THIS GAME!!!
Edit: So from my day 1 experience I gotta say I really appreciate that mashing isn’t as big as it was in SF4. How has everyone’s online connection been so far?
I fought against some guy caled dojamaster and troy from calgary and it seemed kind of"meh"but then again it could just be because of my connection. I dont know if anyone else has had similar problems?
