this blunt_object guy says the EXACT same thing rico does. and he has 5 posts on this recent account that was created during the period of rico’s prior ban.
lol i dont think mike ross + gootecks will be sad if rico doesnt show up at canada cup anymore. those 2 were annoyed by rico at the first canada cup and gootecks wanted to expose rico when he was commentating but the local co-commentator was nice and didn’t want to hurt rico so nothing personal was said.
local co-commentator did say that rico’s fei long had flaws then BOOHOOO rico started acting like someone insulted him personally, as if the co-commentator called rico a pill popping slut or something.
The point still stands however, a physical incident happened that was beyond just shit talking in the game and yet 1 of the people who started that conflict is still allowed to come to the events. Whats even more funny is that that person happens to be the brother of your communities top player and also a good friend to you personally as well as a lot of the canada cup staff. Also ric’s insults and so called threats were never implied to be violent by even his own FB status. From all the forum and FB shit talk, most of the insults have related to the game. He has not made any personal attacks on anyone outside just saying that calgary is free and has bad players. I dont see that as being enough motive to ban someone. Sure its rude but if im not mistaken, ric has been calling calgary free since marvel madness and during alberta beatdown 2 he was still very polite and respectful to the calgary opponents. I was there when he went over to Lapchi and told me"congrats man". This was after he had cleaned swept him 3-0 in teams and would have had every motive and reasoning to say"haha your free bitch, you guys suck". My original point still stands, when it comes down to it ric has always shown himself to be a good guy who ultimately acts in the interest of community and for the greater good. Everything he has said has related to online forums but never made its way to physical events, so why you guys would believe he would suddenly act inappropriate now is beyond me.
Also ric told me he never signed a document or anything that was in print that said he wouldnt shit talk again. He has in fact said to me that he would gladly sign something such as that or some kind of special policy on just himself that would make him pay a certain fee if he should so much as say something offensive. The way I see it, it looks like ric is trying to make things right but you guys are just extremely bias against him. I get that calling you guys free isnt nice, but its only a game and from what ive gathered after reading your thread it seems like maybe only 2-3 are actually serious about becoming real tournament level competitors. Also Im aware that its none of your guys job to police SRK and make sure everyone gets along but my main point is that ric was taunted by your guys which is what spawned his outburst. He even asked if jozhear could apologize and he told him"fuck you". Exactly how is someone suppose to be civil and polite when they are being treated by so much hostility and disrespect. Im not saying how ric responded was correct but he had a damn good motive and reason to be pissed. The way I see it, your community brought the matches, lit the fire and are now complaining that the fire got out of control. Im only making his case because I personally like Canada Cup and appreciate what you guys do but as a fan I find the politics involved in your community very offensive. This is supposed to be about gaming and having fun and not about pushing personal motives or agendas. IMO Canada Cup has now become about who you know and who likes you as opposed to just a event about having fun and enjoying a shared hobby. Either way Im sad to see censorship and politics dominate Canada Cup this way but thats your guys choice. Thanks for taking the time to chat with me about this and I appreciate you being frank.
Hey ric I was there with the physical confrontation. Cody and myself were playing Marvel when the person in question(who didn’t enter anything, he just came to marvel madness to confront him) walked up and said lets talk outside now
He didn’t instigate shit there either, this crazy asshole drove all the way to the event just to talk shit to Cody. I don’t know how you’re misconstruing this fact, but again, you’re wrong
As for abd2, ric was civil. Then after the event was over he started talking shit unprovoked again. An endless cycle. It’s pretty obvious to anyone but you that that he’s done nothing but try and put himself above everyone else and not do anything for the community
Name one thing in the last year you’ve done. I can guarantee you that none of your fellow saskatchewaners will agree with you
I don’t personally care if you accuse me of writing the same way as ric because I’m only calling it like I see it. I saw that derryk went out of his way to take every post evo has made and post it on the Calgary thread. Foger here then went on some rant for whatever reason even in spite of the fact that ric has not even mentioned him and doesn’t personally care what he thinks(ric only listens to good players sk everyone else he dismisses as trolls) From that point in time every thing ric has said was in his own defense. This is precisely what started the conflict between ric and Calgary in the first place. Years ago because some of your Calgary players lost badly online to ric, they proceeded to troll him badly online and on srk. It’s been a reoccurring theme with your some of your Calgary players ever since then.
However your community refuses to acknowledge this point because several of these players are friends with you guys. The funny thing is that that player who almost got beaten up at Marvel madness was put into that situation due to his salty behavior. I know this because ric talked to the guy who was involved in the situation, and it’s no big surprise that after this incident that player became less and less disrespectful after losing. Ric has never been openly disrespectful to opponents or has never felt compelled to call you guys free until some of you guys decided to be salty after your loses to him in a game foger claims many of them have not played seriously for years.
Either way I don’t see any accountability from Calgary or a willingness to concede in their fault in this. Derryk was the one to post his comments on the Calgary thread and then foger was the one to shit talk him for no reason. If you guys wanna ban ric then at least be honest enough to admit it was your fault things got to this point.
Nice slip, Ric. Also, please note the same grammar pattern and errors Ric is known for:
“but you guys are just extremely bias against him” instead of the correct “but you guys are just extremely biased against him”.
“Exactly how is someone suppose to be civil and polite” instead of the correct "Exactly how is someone supposed to be civil and polite"
Could someone please report this to a mod so he’s gone for good?
if you ban blunted object, you’re just going to get another one of evo’s “friends” coming by to defend him in the face of all kinds of opposing evidence
here’s some cold hard facts for you:
post in question from derryk. he posted all of 2 things evo said(like i posted earilier)
you post this:
i tell you to gtfo:
you take things to another level:
notice that you get an infraction for this and i didn’t. could it possibly be because i was telling you to fuck off and get out of our thread, and you responded with some troll bullshit nobody fell for? the reason i told you to get the fuck out, was precicely because your response makes up 90% of the content you post. did i ask you politely to get out? i did after. at which point you came in here with your passive aggressive: calgary is a bunch of whinny scrubs who cant take losses bullshit that people in this thread called you out for posting - you’re talking to yourself here, knowing that people read it(and not for the right reasons). proof:
oh yeah then you try to say fei isnt top tier and a bunch of other misinformed stuff and shane rips you a new asshole
THEN you have the audacity to ask for an appology, then try to make jozhear out to be a bad guy when he rightfully tells you to go fuck yourself
You can check my ip if you don’t believe me. For starters I’m not justifying how ric responded. I’m simply stating that ric responded to the unprovoked hostility that he was dealing with. Also considering this matter has nothing to do with you I don’t really see the point in you responding here. This is typical of SRK and then people wonder why flame wars happen.
Why are Calgary guys in here arguing this issue? Ric is banned people got what they felt was necessary. If you really want it to end then let it end. Arguing the issue endlessly isn’t putting anything to bed.
plz keep coming back ric/execlancer,blunted object, etc, this is endless entertainment for the masses! lol. guile/rog in sf vs tekken? say it ain’t so!
im only in here because he is calling out the integrity of the ccg staff and its events, and misrepresenting events that happened at them. if it was just him making an ass of himself, whatever. but ccg != calgary community
Man… this is something else. I was gonna do a big quote tree with some lols, but I don’t think there’s any point. I’ve just literally never seen anything like this before in my life. He’s posted under like 5 separate usernames, all with the exact same grammatical structure, spelling mistakes, inside knowledge that “someone told me about”, with the exact same opinions about Ric and the Calgary scene, and he’s honestly expecting people won’t pick up on it? Like… who does he take us for? It just seems like this is something somebody wrote about in a psychology textbook somewhere.
I think for many of us it’s just like a train wreck. We know we shouldn’t watch, but there’s just… something about it. Of course, him calling out the integrity of CCG draws legitimate responses from Derryk and Dirgesong, who need to protect the brand.
