I really suspect Fei will be top 5 in the new game and his dominance will barely change. Some people will be able to slightly punish 2nd rekka a little easier, and his damage on his absurd chicken wing combos is down by 30 or something. Otherwise, his buttons are still obscenely good, he still has DP and CW, and some of the best corner pressure in the game (and rekkas to take you there). EX rekka is still, somehow, the AE version… probably his best change from Super to AE.
Also, considering stopping playing because the international players at Canada Cup will beat you is pretty strange. We should be grateful we even have a chance to play them without going across the ocean. Just take what you can from your losses and get better… avoiding the situation because “I’m gonna lose bad” won’t help at all.
Well after looking over the actual changes to fei it seems most of the nerfs were only in his damage output. The possibility of him still being a good character are high considering his normals remained the same so his playstyle wont be affected too greatly. This still will be his 2nd worst incarnation in the SF4 series but I think your right and I think he still will be a dominate forece in spite of that.
Well I am grateful ill have the chance to fight them but my main point of contention is just not being able to get the training and practice I need to compete well. Like online just isnt good enough anymore and what I really want is the chance to fight people in person to work on my timing and to know what tactics are trully effective. Not to mention playing people consistenly offline keeps you sharp and motivated, when toon town fights was in full gear I use to play against Dustin a lot in person and it really helped me stay consistent with my timing and focus on the game.
Now all I get is like less then 3 hours a week for sf and all that time is spent in ranked against random opponents with subpar online connections. If I had something like tubbydogs or what other provicnces have with their local communities I know I’d improve instantly, however with my local community gone all I really have is just online so it’s a bit frustrating.

To my credit I did try to organize events and remember my"reboot the scene"slogan. I also did try to warn people what would happen if things continued on their present cource so while I did play a big part in the communities desturction I also did try to fix things and start anew. I guess sometimes things just happen beyond our control so Im happy knowing I at least tried to make things right,…in the end thats all you can do sometimes yo.
Speaking on bitches, does anyone else think lili looks like a rufus clone in her latest vids. She has so many high damaging combos that make her flip around like rufus. Im calling it right now and saying lili will be either top or high tier.
Good stuff dudes, mk9 is a cool game I’d play it more but th my sf game would get even more ruined. That’s why I think sfxt will be a smooth transition. I’m gonna try to main a footsie orientated character, anyone know what word on yoshi is yet in that game?
Ive been playing 3s agaisnt shane a lot and damn that games makes SF4 footsies seem so scrubby. Like everyone in 3s has fei long calibur normals and good mobility thanks to the game speed so everyone can potentially be a good footsie character. Thats probably why fei was such a natural fit for me in SF4 given my experience in that game but man my footsie game is so weak thanks to SF4. Thats probbaly the reason i didnt play MK9 is much, like the game has excellent pressure and zoning options but I just wish they had a footsie game as well. Unfortunately the normals are ass in MK9, i mean outside just pressure tools they cant be used to much. If mk9 just had footsies it would be a better fighter then SF4 imo.
lol. just because you can’t be effective using normals doesn’t mean they aren’t effective period, there is definitely a footsie game in MK, don’t be dumb.
Regina is gonna run another hopefully 8 man MK tournament, we will be recording and will upload rounds at a time as they get finished.

Dalton: Ill phrase it differently, what I meant to say is good footsies. Like sure it has footsies but if they just had more active frames and wider hit boxes on normals it would improve drastically. While on the subject of MK9, why is it specials cant be used as pressure tools. Like normals only work for zoning and spacing,…I really wish more of them were safe so you could pressure with specials more often.

Ill learn the game, just wish the online wasnt so terrible. I mean I guess its playable from here to regina but it could be better. If possible set up some 3s as well.

I was trying to find some other characters to use in SF4 but damn man everyone sucks. Gouken feels like he doesnt work, vega is kind of pointless since fei is here(sort of like chun making elena not worth it in 3s). I wish more characters in SF4 were actually good,…its sad that fei is one of the few that I can find myself playing.

I know dari,jer,evan,josh and myself still play. I think jayson still does but I have not heard a thing from the PS3 guys or any of the 360 guys since at least the time I got banned. I dont know the situation in terms of gathering since the previous host have moved away, but if anyone is still doing them let us know and lets see if we can try and get something going again.

Sounds like a plan, im cutting my life down to gaming, work,random activity on friday/saturday night,women and 90 era cartoons. Currently im waching mighty max and avatar,…and yeah i know avatar isnt 90’s but it feels like a 90’s era cartoon. With SF4 I kill time beating random players in ranked. Its hard to get good compeition that plays on a clean connection. Although why bother with bad online competition when im right in the center of downtown, so much fun stuff to do,…kind of lol.
Im excited to be heading to calgary at the end of the month though, I can finally get freaking offline matches again and check out their scene HQ.

Batman was amazing, hell pretty much every cartoon from the 90’s was epic. Cartoons these days just suck balls, well except maybe thundercats which is kind of picking up steam with the reboot.
Man speaking of CC im so rusty in SF4, I was hoping to be in the top 8 but I dunno. Like im confident agaisnt the canadian players but the intenrational guys are monsters and so many of them are coming. My only hope is to at least take a few rounds and hopefully a match here and there.
